We had a nice room with an unexpected view of a quaint, little stream in the back, it also had some benches for relaxing, reading or having a cup of coffee. The breakfast was decent and it was a clean, pleasant environment. We liked having two nice restaurants within walking distance. We were surprised how much we enjoyed the visit for the price we paid, they honored our military discount which made a big difference in the cost of the overall visit.

Close to Altoona for a fraction of the cost - a safe community with lots of restaurants, shopping, antiquing, flea markets (in season) and tourist destinations nearby. Plenty of railroad attractions, two local amusements parks, minor league baseball and plenty of bike trails within a short drive of Duncansville!

I really didn't see much of Duncansville except to eat and make a few purchases for things I forgot, as I was visiting a friend in Loretto. The prices are great for everything. Definitely less expensive than where I live in the Albany, NY area.
