Great location for concerts at the civic center. The room itself was fine. It was clean and spacious. Mattress was a bit lumpy but we slept fine. The in room coffee pot was nice.

The breakfast was great. The location was great, we went the Jelly Roll concert and did not have to fight traffic to leave just walk across the road and your at the hotel. The staff was all very nice and helpful. And the hotel was very nice and clean.

The staff, specifically Inez, are at the front desk. When you travel, your routine changes, and all your little conveniences from back home must be adjusted. A few things with the room took some maintenance, but Inez was on it from the word "go" to resolve any issues to my satisfaction. Furthermore, she willingly adjusted my hotel bill due to inconveniences beyond her control. Thank you for the teamwork ethic, and, more significantly, thank you, Inez, for your pleasantness, great sense of humor, and for doing well at your job.
They are either remodeling or have remodeled and it is a very clean, low key, drama free hotel that goes above and beyond for these customers. Will stay no where else when visiting Charleston, WV.
The service was excellent. I was scared because other hotels no smoking the smell was nasty, but this one was clean and fresh, and was non smoking for real. The bed was so comfortable.
