Decorah is one of the most friendly, clean, neat and just a wonderful place I have ever been to. All of the people were friendly and nice to us. The town itself is just a beautiful place. The downtown area is what you would picture in a travel guide. I would highly recommend a trip to this area of the United States. Luther College is also just a great place and their Music Department is the best!

Literally drove in at night in the dark.
Literally drove in at night in the dark. Loved the hill coming into town with the flag off to the North. Hotel super easy to find, lit up and safe, it was so close to everything I needed. I was there in March would love to come back in the summer and fall to check out all it has to offer. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as I didn’t arrive until very late in the evening. Room had a great bed, updated nice bathroom, loved that it had a frig to put drinks in as well as a microwave.

Decorah is a beautiful college town in a scenic part of Iowa. The Norwegian-American Museum there is excellent. We also took advantage of the Decorah Geneology Association and were helped to trace ancestors and locations in Norway from which they emmigrated. Don't miss Rubaiyat Restaurant, Impact Coffee and Mabe's Pizza!

There are a couple of great breweries in Decorah, as well as nice hiking trails and green space. In addition, the downtown area has some quaint shops and restaurants. Overall impressed with Decorah.
The property was very clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was all very friendly. The hotel is starting to show it’s age, but the cleanliness more than makes up for that. Both the interior and exterior are well kept, and that’s becoming rare in a lot of other hotels more than 10 years old. The hotel is close to a bike and running trail, which was beautiful in late September.
The location downtown was good with an excellent breakfast place next door.
The price point and quick access like a hotel’s booking, is why we chose it.
The sofa and chair with tv were nice.
Having a coffee maker and stand up shower (with extra tall head) were good. The small toilet seat with bidet options on the side were unexpected.
