Loved the old building and comfortable rooms.
Loved the old building and comfortable rooms. Also convenient location, within walking distance to restaurants & train station. Parking behind the building was a plus, but the entrance to the lot needs major work. We had a car with low clearance and was impossible to exit the parking lot without scraping the bottom of the car. There was also ample street parking in front of the building.

Cumberland is a great town that is just past its hey-day.
Cumberland is a great town that is just past its hey-day. While lacking in big city attractions, it has lots of small town charm. Be sure to stop by Curtis' Coney Island for a hot dog (or 3... they are small and delicious), Caporale's Italian Bakery for the best bread of your damn life (also highly recommend the pepperoni rolls) and D'Atri's Subs for lunch. Tap off your culinary Cumberland experience with a beer from Niners before you check out the views on Canal Place.

This property is getting threadbare.
This property is getting threadbare. The staff is nice enough and it was quiet despite being part of a truck stop. The rooms are cramped. The television offerings scant. The breakfast was ok, but the dining area was too small to accommodate all of the guests. Like all too many lodgings in the covid, post-covid world, it is over-priced.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Cumberland is full of history. I enjoyed walking through the old town, looking in the antique stores and simply enjoying the architecture of the old brick buildings. The casino which is close by is clean and lots of fun. Enjoyed a nice walk along their beautiful lake.

Being from NYC, we expected Cumberland to be quiet and slower-paced. While the city was both those things, there were still plenty of places to eat, fascinating historical sites to see, and tons of history to the area.
We ate at "The Crabby Pig", "Texas Grillhouse" and "Puccini's". Each restaurant not only had great food, but the staff were super accommodating.
Getting around town was easy, as everything is nearby (but a car is necessary for the more out-of-the-way spots.

we used this as a stopover between Cincinnati and Philadelphia….it was surprisingly very good. This is better than some of the other hotels we stayed at which were rated higher! The breakfast is great…recommend this hotel if you are passing through or want to visit the local area.
