The only things I would say were of a positive nature were the price and the location. Directly off the highway comes in handy at 11pm.

Great employees! Very clean. Decent typical breakfast.

Great employees! Very clean. Decent typical breakfast. Toilet in room needs to be updated to comfort height! Lots of seniors have mobility issues and without rails it was uncomfortable. Great walk in shower but the door only opened outside to the room rather than inside where the water would run off. Minor issues. The only real issue was a soft extremely high bed!! At almost six feet it was hard to get up into it! Not sure how a short person could have gotten into it.

Great mountain biking/hiking trail at Duck River Reservoir.

Great mountain biking/hiking trail at Duck River Reservoir. Also a boat ramp and large lake/river for fishing. Lots of independent restaurants that served delicious food and cocktails. Plenty of chain restaurants as well. We enjoyed our weekend in Cullman

They charged a deposit fee but didn’t say they would.

They charged a deposit fee but didn’t say they would. When the guy had me sign the paper it was for the amount of the room, when I looked at my bank account there was a $50 fee charged to my card.. at checkout I was supposed to get the fee back in cash. I didn’t get it, I had to ask for a receipt and the $50 deposit wasn’t on it either. When asked about the deposit she said it would be refunded when the account is charged, the charge was already pending from the first day I got there.

I was there to visit a sick relative so I did not do any sight seeing. Having been there before though I can say that Cullman is an interesting city to check out. From the Grotto, parks and downtown there is lots to see.

I booked the hotel based on the positive number of feedbacks and let me say this did not disappointed me. Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Everything was in place inside the room and well clean. The brakfast is what you expect from a La Quinta so all you need to start your day. I'll be back year when in Cullman. Thanks!

The receptiin was extremely helpful, especially since the booking.com reservation was not there (despite the confirmation email)! We could have been left without accomidation in a foreign country, but the lady at the desk got us a room. Will be staying here again soon, but I booked directly with the hotel this time.
