We booked in Cody because of its proximity to the Eastern entrance to Yellowstone, but found the city and its attractions far more interesting than we had expected and spent less time in Yellowstone because of that surprise. Good restaurants with shout-outs to Our Place for breakfast, Granny's for breakfast/lunch, and the Cody Cattle Company's dinner buffet (don't miss the cornbread, beans and brisket, plus the mac and cheese). THE "TRIPLE C COWBOYS" WHO PERFORM NIGHTLY FOLLOWING THE CODY CATTLE COMPANY'S BUFFET ARE (IMHO) THE BEST HOUSE BAND I HAVE EVER HEARD! IF IN CODY, DO NOT MISS THEM!!!!!!!!!

This was our second trip to Cody.

This was our second trip to Cody. I had to come back to see the saloon bar that Queen Victoria gave to Buffalo Bill. It was so beautiful and the restaurant had great food. Highlight was the Rodeo, such a great experience for the family. Downtown shopping was fun with the different places to shop. Highly recommend you see this town which was part of the Wild West!

Cody is unique and has a ton of history that is worth learning about. We enjoyed the effort the town has made to inform visitors of its history. We did not attend the rodeo but will next time. The town is clean and well laid out. Bubbas was a great place to eat.

Cody is a great American small town.

Cody is a great American small town. It's about 50 miles from the eastern gate of Yellowstone (the closest town on that side of the park). It has the Buffalo Bill Cody museum and lots of great shops. We recommend Granny's Cafe for down home cooking. The Cody Rodeo was fun and only $25.00 per ticket. We stayed in the AmericInn and it was great. Bubba's BBQ is right in front of the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals there. They have a really great selection. The brisket was really good. ONE CAVEAT: Stay away from John's Tacos. It was HORRIBLE! Worst excuse EVER for Mexican food. Huge disappointment.

The Irma has an incredible amount of character as it has been around since 1902. It exudes history. The Irma Restaurant has great food for all meal, especially supper which specializes in a Prime Rib and Barbecued Buffalo Ribs! Whenever I am anywhere near we are staying here! The Cody downtown is filled with great shops within walking distance and the most incredible Wild Bill Cody Museum is only a couple minute drive away. To see everything could easily take two days.

The room was spacious and had two tables and three beds which was nice to have. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was just down the road from the rodeo grounds and also Old Trail Town which was very interesting to check out! There is a nice selection of restaurants in Cody. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to choose from including a waffle maker which the family loved. The family enjoyed the variety of African animal taxidermy on display in the lobby.

It was a really great hotel. It was like a small museum. The kids enjoyed observing the taxidermy. It is the best hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. The heated pool is available for children until 10pm and adults until midnight. They also had equipment in place to enter the pool for caregivers. Excellent.
