We enjoyed several wonderful excursions while in the Chesapeake area! We traveled to attend the annual Military Tattoo which is held in Norfolk at Scope Arena every April! It is an amazing patriotic show with over 800 military performers (including bands, vocal performances, drill teams, drum teams, etc) from around the world! We also took a Wild Horse Adventure Tour on Corolla Island, NC. It was absolutely wonderful! An exciting safari riding on the beach shore in a comfortable extended Hummer vehicle locating the wild horses on the island! The two hour drive was easy and worth the trip! The Naval Base Rover boat tour behind the Naval base in Norfolk was so informative and enjoyable viewing huge military ships, subs, tug boats, etc. (Note: This tour is full of detailed narration that may not be as accommodating for young children.) We had hoped to take the Dolphin Watch Boat tour offered by the Virginia Beach Aquarium but the weather turned cold and rainy so we were unable to join that excursion. Riding over the Chesapeake Bay bridges & tunnels was very disappointing. $16. each way ($32. Just to ride over and back!😳) and the restaurant/gift shop is now closed that was located in the viewing area in the middle of the waters. A tiny souvenir gift closet is now at the north end of the bridge but so very small and no restaurant on the water! Disappointing! We enjoyed our visit to this area experiencing some wonderful excursions while there! This made a special place to visit and participate in significant adventures while leaving the cares and worries of life behind you for a few days!

I came to visit with a friend. There’s a lot of freeways! And there’s the bridge and underwater tunnel. Food is usually hard to find as I am a vegan, but it was easy to find. I enjoyed myself and definitely plan to visit again

Not really much to like other than it had a roof.

Not really much to like other than it had a roof. Dirty floor, floor mats were available for bath towels, lots of very 'shady' people meeting and gathering on the property. Around 3 am, a group of adults gathered outside our room on the balcony to meet, talk, laugh for over 2 hours.

Not a place that I would recommend traveling to.

Not a place that I would recommend traveling to. VERY expensive and poor quality. Ugh !! Hoping that I NEVER have to go back. HIGH taxes which do not appear to go to the schools, roads, police, fire and rescue squads much Parts of this city have natural beauty which developers are tearing down as fast as they can buy it. Many thieves in suits in this city I'm guessing. Very oppressive to the lower class as well. Idk how they manage to survive other than the grace of God.

    I like the location.

I like the location. Very safe and walking distance to everything. But this Hilton was very poorly kept and for what my 2 day bill was.... HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE GACE CLOTHS and a clean bathroom for me?? Now my question is how do I get some of my money back?? If you're traveling thru the VA Beach/ Chesapeake area.... STAY AWAY FROM THE HILTON. You'll be sorry and mad as hell. This is the 2nd time I failed yo read and adhere to travel advice on a hotel. But nobody has offered me any of my money back for buying my own bath supplies yo stay at "THE Hellton"..
