My son plays football at the University of Northern Iowa, and we love coming to Cedar Falls to see his games when we can, as we live in Pennsylvania. The people are friendly, the town is quaint and quiet, and the local restaurants are enjoyable.

The beds, and room were nice.
The beds, and room were nice. Not having a HOT TUB when it was shown in pictures was bothering. We had
Grandchildren and we the Grandparents are all swimmers and love to have this.
I also was very disappointed with the breakfast not having
ANY fruit, or yogurt and a little bit of eggs left. We ate at 8:20 and the breakfast area was open until 9. This is a disappointment for our family. Please get this fixed.

Upon arrival the staff very friendly but after a complete employee changeover the atitude and caring spirit of the staff quickly faded and the once friendly faced changed into a mirror image of the slum lord owner and his nasty distaste for his business. Which is clearly shown by his lackluster care for his property his employees, and himself. Appalling

Read positive and negative reviews before I booked and take these with a grain of salt. The Suburban was just fine and we extended our stay and would have extendd it by another day but it was fully booked so we couldn't. The staff was friendly and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

Such a cute little downtown area, lots of shopping, eatery’s, bars and coffee shops to browse, eat and drink at, would definitely recommend Cedar Falls and the Hampton Inn to any and everyone. 10 out of 10.

Great downtown area with good restaurants and cute shops.
Great downtown area with good restaurants and cute shops. wonderful hiking and biking trails along the river where it's peaceful and you can see birds along the river. We loved the Chocolaterie Stam chocolate shop. The Stuffed Olive restaurant had wonderful tapas and an amazing amount of very good cocktails.
Breakfast was my only disappointment. I didn't eat until around 7:30 but the eggs were crusty and dried little pieces, the gravy was at a rolling boil in the crockpot ( and was all separated into 3 different liquids) and the biscuits were rock hard. I don't like to waste food but threw most of it away. The coffee was good and I had a good bagel. I did tell the front desk that things were boiling and drying out - I don't like to complain but didn't want the food ruined even more. Otherwise, I was very happy with the hotel.
