The pictures are great. That’s about it. We were so thankful that the staff was as friendly and accommodating as they were; otherwise, we would’ve been incredibly disappointed.

The only problem we’ve experienced in both of our stays is DIFFICULTY in locating this hotel. In the dark, with cross roads not labelled, we struggled BOTH visits to find you! Drivers on 280 know where they’re going…we did not.
Otherwise, we find our stay to be The Best. We cited Merry Christmas to the desk staff when we left…and the manager from the back office echoed a LOUD “Merry Christmas!”

The smell was horrible upon arrival and the entire time their. spider webs everywhere, bugs crawling, dirty floors, a huge hole behind batroom mirror and feces of some animal, something moving in walls, toilets made noise every night. The power went out Wed night for about 6 or 7 hours on top of the place being non funtionable for hours, I had to throw my food out.
I was suppose to have a business meeting at the house but couldn't because of the smell. In order for me to stay their I had to clean myself and purchase sleeping bags to sleep on top of beds because I wasn't sure how clean they were. It's a nice house, but needs lots of TLC and a cleaning crew that cares.

It was great, but someone stopped in the parking lot and thought I was leaving when I was getting something out of my trunk, and when I closed and locked the trunk the car stepped on the gas and came towards me and my daughter
We had to jump out of the way so they wouldn’t hit us in there grey car

Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive!
Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive! Only place we found for breakfast before my son's graduation and for biscuit and gravy that tasted like oil (my son said) and 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 toast and 1 can soda was $38..... This food was horrible for this price! The construction work on the highways and traffic, was the first time in 10 years since I've been up there and they were doing the same crap then, and I would not go back unless I absolutely have to!

Location was easy.
Location was easy. Spent 4.5 hours booking hotel and paying more than other hotel was and red roofs was extremely terrible conditions compared to cheaper hotel that was canceled prior, which was exceptionally frustrating! Also, 1 and only amenity requested, breakfast was not offered, wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee!

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Birmingham
The hotel was in the new nicest area of Birmingham, away from the city centre which is very unwelcoming and to be avoided other than to visit the civil rights institute and little else. There is a very nice shopping mall near the property (a few minutes by car) with good restaurants and shops (and it is safer than Birmingham, which isn't).
The hotel was ideally situated for the BJCC where we were attending/competing for 4 days. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Colby and Carla. The pool and area was great allowing us to relax in the sun. The gym was adequate. There were lots of places around to eat too.
