Cork Factory Hotel, hotel in Bird-in-Hand

Located in Lancaster, this historic hotel provides spacious rooms with exposed brick walls. It features the Cork & Cap Restaurant and is 6-miles from the Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park.

The hotel is a restored factory. It has a cool old-time vibe to it. With interior brick walls and wood ceilings. Nice size rooms. Very friendly staff for check-in and check out. I thought it was exceptionally clean. Quips English Pub right across the street was a lot of fun.

We really loved everything about the hotel.

We really loved everything about the hotel. Our stay was only two days so didn’t get to do much but it was very relaxing. Our room had a huge window that faced farms and it was cool to see the horses and cows in the pasture. A lot of people took buggy rides that’s located right next to the hotel.

Beautiful country side - lots to see and experience.

Beautiful country side - lots to see and experience. Not much to do on a Sunday - most everything is closed due to the Sabbath / Amish / Mennonite day of rest. Hotel was very nice - Smokin' BBQ great

I loved the amazing Beautiful view!

I loved the amazing Beautiful view! Everything was perfect and to my expectations! The only negative thing I have is .. There's no breakfast at all! That was a big let me down. As much as it is per night ... I feel they could've offered some kind of breakfast!😔

Our room was perfect it had anything you could think of and more. The breakfast buffet was extra special. The hotel was easily accessible to find and enter and exit. We did a guided bus tour and learned alot of little facts about Amish lifestyles. We were able to get last minute tickets to Sight and Sound Theaters production of David. Wonderful show. I suggest anyone wanting to see a show there, even if its sold out (which ours was) go check with them or call for last minute cancellations.

Even though the gardens were frozen, you can tell they must have been lovely before the frost. We had a very disappointing stay. We had stayed there approximately 5 years ago and had a very nice stay with delicious food. That is what brought us back. Mistake!! We had a standard queen room in the carriage house. Room had only one night stand, the chair was very dusty, the curtain rod is falling out of the wall, the bathroom only offered a hairdryer and two tiny bars of soap, no tissues or other toiletries, the sink is loose, and the heat blasted, so we kept our window opened to combat the heat. Breakfast was terrible. My husband grabbed two items to go and we ate elsewhere. We spent $1 more then the B and B charged and we enjoyed a full protein balanced meal a short distance down the street at the Bird in Hand Family restaurant. Ordered off the menu and delicious! The breakfast served at this B and B was all carbs and no protein. A family rushed to finish their meal and gave up their table for us, as there was no seating in this small dining room. The owner offered the idea to sit with others. In this time of Covid I was very surprised by her idea so we declined and left.

Property has lots to do. Showers in rooms need upgrading.

Property has lots to do. Showers in rooms need upgrading. Water is hard, has little pressure and soap takes long to get off. Washing my hair was a nightmare between getting soap off and having water get cold within minutes .

The Breakfast was Outstanding, the View was Great; however, they did not advertise that they had a problem with staffing the Hotel and that we would have to do part. Never before, has this happened to Nellie and me and I am 75 years old.

This is a fascinating part of the US and this was our second visit, first to this hotel. Despite it being a big hotel, there was a sense of peace about it, perhaps being beside fields of corn. The pool was great as was the breakfast.

There was no breakfast offered at our hotel. I loved the decor of the room-the quilts and the updated bathroom was very nice! Loved the refrigerator and the counter above it! Great use of the space in the room!
