Bentonville is trying really hard to get "on the map," according to our Jeep Tour guide. We did the Jeep Tour of Bentonville and it was long-ish, all about the houses of Walmart executives and family. It is a very cute town with lots of Walmart history. The Walmart museum was under renovation so we didn't go to it, but have heard it is totally worth it! Getting around was easy by car. We ate at Wrights BBQ which was really good. The town is full of art and bicycling opportunities.

The Crystal Bridges Museum was wonderful.
The Crystal Bridges Museum was wonderful. I recommend that guests sign up for guided tours whenever possible because the docents are so well-informed and engaging. Strolling through the galleries is simply wonderful, too. Be sure to see the outdoor sculptures, too.

I went to Bentonville because of the show Fixer to Fabulous.
I went to Bentonville because of the show Fixer to Fabulous. This was one of my stops on my return trip to CA, after having helped my sister move from CA to NC. I visited the Marrs Mercantile store. Loved it. There's a small bakery next door, Challalujah Bakery. I highly recommend it! After just one of the Israeli Rugelach cookies, I went right back and bought 2 more! Delicious! I also bought Jenny Marrs' grandma's recipe banana blueberry muffin, but haven't tried it yet, but would imagine it's great, too. (still gobbling up the rugelach cookies!) I wish I had more than just a couple hours in this town!

Bentonville has grown so much in the past 5 years.
Bentonville has grown so much in the past 5 years. There are oodles of great restaurants and bars and the Museum and biking are some of the best in the country. This is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts as well as young people (though I'm 62, this place really screams, young people). The real estate values have increased tremendously and now I know why.

Hotel is located close to 100's of restaurants.
Hotel is located close to 100's of restaurants. Located on Bentonville's main throughfare, so it you reach you destination at the end of the day be prepared for TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC. Gas station are few and far between for this location, fill-up before you get to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel or one of four within an easy walk from the hotel, but watch for the traffic. Great Japanese restaurant next door.

There was no packaged breakfast as advertised. My special request ( downstair room) said they had it, I ended up on the third story, having to carry my bags with two recently broken arms. Hence the special request.
