This was the perfect location for staying in as my son was starting at Belmont Abbey University-fantastic location and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Super comfortable bed – I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in one so nice. The only thing that I would have liked was, China plates and cups at breakfast but other than that an exceptionally good hotel – we will definitely be back when we visit my son ☺️

Super easy to get to from the airport, very close to the interstate, lots of places to eat around. Quiet location despite all of this as it’s set back on its own. Friendly staff, huge rooms! Perfect for us. Would definitely come again.

Breakfast was great! It was located down in the lobby. Choice of buffet or order from the menu. I would recommend it.

We stayed for two nights in a room did not get cleaned the first night. We were there for a family affair, and when we got back to the hotel late at night, we had no towels no clean room full trash, cans. Nobody touched anything. When I went to the front desk, they said they were short staffed and she couldn’t come to my room, but if I threw everything out in the hallway, she would give me new sheets and trash bags. She said to talk to the front desk in the morning and they would make it right. The front desk said they couldn’t do anything because I would have to get a hold of booking.com to get anything back from my stay. The bathroom ceiling was peeling and it was stuck to the back of the toilet, and there was evidence that mold might’ve been sprayed over. Our beds felt damp. They were hairs in the bathroom towels. They put us right by the front and Saturday morning every five minutes a door with slam and people were talking in the hallway at 6 o’clock in the morning until we got up.

I love Belmont it’s small town life at it’s best with friendly locals and awesome food! The walks and places to “hike” are fun and we enjoyed our time there immensely! It’s also very close to the larger Charlotte making big city life easy!

Belmont seems like just one long highway on the way to larger Gastonia or Charlotte, but DON'T BE FOOLED or you'll miss out! Go into the historic district of Belmont (Gastonia has one too but Belmont's historical district is more accomodating if you plan to park and walk). Stroll along and pop into the local businesses, some really cool ones, and review the restaurant scene on the historical path...everything from a NY style pizza joint to very upscale dining! If you have kids, dogs or both, visit the park in the heart of the historical district...it's great! Cramer Mountain is nearby if you like walking trails. Carowinds Amusement Park is a hop and a skip away. There is the White Water Rapids Park, the shopping in nearby Charlotte...it's a great destination!
