NO PARKING! Day rate beach passes cost too much.

NO PARKING! Day rate beach passes cost too much. So stinking quiet. Old people friendly only. Getting around is terrible. 2way stop signs, bikes everywhere that do not follow traffic rules. And again… NO PARKING! Took 45 min to find a spot. Will not return.

    Beautiful beach. Well maintained bathrooms.

Beautiful beach. Well maintained bathrooms. There are not many options for food on the waterfront - you have to go to Main Street for most choices. Breakfast especially wasn't so easy to find on the boardwalk. Next time I'd bring breakfast food with me. Free, but limited parking, but beach entry is $10 per person.

This place is good for a short vacation for a couple.

This place is good for a short vacation for a couple. If you have kids, and in need of space, this won't be the place to choose. We might return, as the location is fantastic, but the hotel needs more upgrades. A few things like a hair blow dryer, paper napkins, coffee, all of it is not available upon request. Be prepared with these items to be packed along with the clothes. And pack light, as there no room to store it.

Street parking is available along the beachfront using ParkMobile. $2/hr all day. No overnight parking there, but you can park free on the side streets. Beach badges are required & life guards are on duty in the summer.

There was nothing inviting about this place for being right across from the beach. No decor whatsoever, no cozy feel. Looked run down and I didn't feel safe. I originally booked a two bed but my daughter canceled because of her work so I asked for a single thinking I was going to get the difference in price back and they said they couldn't do that. I'm in customer service and I would of absolutely accommodated my request. I will definitely not stay here ever I will do hotel or Airbnb

A good place to stay off-season.

A good place to stay off-season. Belmar is a "real" town on the Jersey shore, unlike many of the others that cater for summer visitors only. An adequate number of pubs and restaurants (including for seafood), a train station, liquor store, pharmacy, grocery store etc. Easy access to Spring Lake along the boardwalk and close to Asbury Park.

Belmar is a lovely quiet town and Saltwater Inn was perfectly situated to the beach and the restaurants. Wasn't expecting breakfast so was delighted in the morning when I found they had cereals, pastries and hot drinks on offer. The Inn has a covered porch which was delightful to sit under whilst having a few refreshments and a game of cards. Joshua has a very pleasant manner and was on hand should we needed anything.

The hotel offers lovely common areas, a sunroom everyone should experience and a leisurely charm missing from travel. there are few other places with beachfront property. The room is modest, but cute, more in a European tradition than our glitzier but redundant motel rooms.
