Beatrice where i was grew up & graduated highschool from (21yrs ago). It is also where all three of my boys were born. I had moved away in 2016, but came back to live in 2019.
In my free/off time (weather permitting) my favorite places to visit are the parks on southside & westsides of town. My boys & myself were able to create some awesome memories during our park trips.
Both parks are great places to have a picnic or outting with the family. They're awesome for places to take great outdoor senior photos & family pictures too. They have so many great spots to catch your most cherished candids. My fave photo spots are the hedgeapple tree @ riverside & over by the old waterfall in Chautauqua. I have many more but those would be the top 2!
If you enjoy bike riding, going for a run/jog, or even a long walks. Then this final suggestion Ive got in mind for you would be just what your looking for. That would be the bike trails. Now there is actually quite a few trails going through & around town. I really enjoy the trail that goes all the way on the westside all the way around to southside. It goes through both my fave parks. I find the long walk between the two gives me a chance to clear head. As well as it allows me to soak up the beauty of nature from both parks & along the trail.

We enjoyed a relaxing wine tasting at Tall Tree Tasting.
We enjoyed a relaxing wine tasting at Tall Tree Tasting. We had a great conversation with the owner. Having lived and worked in Napa California it was pleasant to have such a nice wine tasting experience here in Nebraska where we currently live.

Beatrice is a friendly small town with impressive architecture downtown, and plenty of good eating places. The check-in clerk at the Traveler's Lodge motel was very genuine, and the staff at the 402 Restaurant was fun and down-home friendly, as were the accommodating manager and staff at Runza. Very impressed with the old-fashioned friendliness of this charming little city in southeast Nebraska.

Value was exceptional compared to other facilities in Beatrice. Averaged $70/night with taxes. There were a few small items that need to be corrected like a light bulb out, microwave had a poor connection and did not wok unless the cord was provided with pressure. Bed was worn but provided adequate support. Breakfast was minimal with the only meat being sausage gravy, toast, muffins, biscuits, donuts, cereal, juices, milk and coffee available.
This was a good hotel, beds we’re comfortable and the pillows were great. I wasn’t really there just to sleep as I went to see family. We did not eat breakfast but looked good. this place was good and the price was great and the front desk women was great. I would stay again.!!
The rooms for the most part are nice. The young lady that checked me in is always nice. It is a decent rate but wish I could get it cheaper since it looks like I may have to work out of Beatrice for a while
