The location is absolutely perfect...close to downtown Bar Harbor shops and restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was terrific, especially the omelets! A little bit too touristy for me.

A little bit too touristy for me. Arcadia national park was great. I think at peak foliage it would be even better. Downside is that for the most part the places you could pull in to stop and see something in the park was jammed so you couldn't stop. Anybody that wants to stop at difference locations should park their car outside the park and take a bus in. They stop at all the locations and I think it is free.

    Best of both worlds.

Best of both worlds. A bustling town with lots of restaurants and bars, and a waterfront which was quieter with amazing views. It is also next door to Acadia National Park which was amazing and worth the $35 entrance fee. An extra $6 to travel up Cadillac Mountain is very much worth the money. Definitely a highlight of our tour of New England

It was very, very crowded, parking was impossible and cost $4 an hour😨 Prices for food and souvenirs, outrageous! You expect to pay more when you go on vacation, but wow it was totally ridiculous 😑 I fell in love with Acadia National Park!!!! We drove, hiked and biked there. So much beauty to see. We ate several times at Mainley Meat BBQ, which is beside High Seas Motel, where we stayed, it was so good! Jordan Pond House has a beautiful outside dining experience with luscious food. The view is incredible!

Bar Harbor is lovely, with plenty of activities, shopping and eating choices, but bring lots of money-- you'll need it. Similar items (like a lobster roll) could be found just a short hop away from Bar Harbor (like Winter Harbor) for half the price. Every turn in Bar Harbor provides another picturesque Maine photo op. If you're willing to pay premium prices for the ambiance, Bar Harbor is your destination. If you want the pauper's path, try the smaller harbors for your main meals and just tour Bar Harbor.

Spectacular harbor views from every room with a nice balcony. It is in a quiet area away from the bustle of Bar Harbor, but still close by. The room was quite large with plenty of space and very clean. Ample parking was available for free. Easy access to Acadia and local sites. A nice breakfast is included which is a plus. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. During the tourist season, check the cruise schedule for BH to try to avoid larger crowds in town and at Acadia.

Very nice room for the price. Don’t be put off by “motel”; very clean rooms, close to the downtown action, but still quiet. The breakfast was actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Even had eggs and sausage. Definitely enough choice to satisfy us. Pool was nice touch, clean, warm enough. Overall, very satisfied with stay and would stay again in a heartbeat.
