great sized room, overlooking the river, exceptionally clean, nice modern decor and really comfortable. They gave us adjoining rooms as we took our two teenaged sons away with us. Room rates were excellent, valet parking was good value too compared to other cities and hotels we stayed in. Ate in the restaurant, food was nice, bar staff were really friendly and remembered your drinks etc even though we only stayed two nights. Shame as it was the off season as the Italian restaurant wasn't open, but that's the only negative!

Avon is convenient for staying outside the city, which we wanted to do, as the medical facility we were visiting was on the west side of the city (and we were coming from the west). There are many restaurants very near the hotel, and also opportunities for shopping, if desired. The airport is just a short drive away.
