Beachfront Location; Excellent breakfast and rooftop patio eating area; social/hangout area with pie, ice cream, coffee popcorn etc.; quirky but interesting style; interesting place and history, friendly & accommodating staff. Seems like a lot of variation among the rooms- I’d like to know more about other rooms- availability & cost.

The ability to utilize the kitchen. The very comfortable bed, and room temp. It was very quiet in the room. Didn’t hear other people. The amenities, ie, games, outdoor seating, with the fire, and the offering of hot drinks.

WE loved all the options of restaurants, bar and wine tasting venues.
We were lucky enough to be at Avila Beach on the Food Night Market. I believe it's once a month and if you get the chance you should definitely go check it out.
Live music, loads of food stalls and a great atmosphere.

Fantastic beach. We visited two years ago.
Fantastic beach. We visited two years ago. The beach was cleaner previously. There was a lot of seaweed and debris on the beach. It really needed raking. Some dead birds and a little bit of trash on the beach. I wish they would put something down to walk to the waters edge without burning your feet. A piece of canvas or burlap. It is very hard to walk in soft sand.

Wow - what a hidden gem. Avila Beach is a quiet beach / harbour just off the CA1 and is simply outstanding. We only stayed for one night but wanted to stay longer.
We walked into the small promenade and had dinner in the Custom House.
Overall - highly recommended location and hotel
The breakfast served on the rooftop was amazing. We were able to sit in an alcove sheltered from the usual ocean breeze and enjoy our coffee and pastries while watching the waves roll into Avila Beach. The memory foam mattress and pie and ice cream hour were also pleasant surprises.
I loved my room with private jacuzzi tub overlooking the creek and walking path outside. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a coffee and tea cart available for guests which was a plus. The club located next to the hotel has a sauna that guests are able to enjoy as well
the hotel is charming and cozy.
On our first night we had a very big room with an issue with the noise of the bathroom.
The second night we had a lovely room. perfect.
