From the outside the motor inn is cute and a bit of a throwback. It is only about 5minutes down the road from the lovely village of Skaneateles and its namesake lake. The proprietress was very friendly and check in was easy.

Perfect for the price and a great place to rest your head after a day in the Village. Rooms were clean, cute little rustic decor, and the spa soaps smelled divine!

My husband and I went for our 10th anniversary, and it was lovely. Two nights felt like the right amount for us. The facility is really perfect -- beautiful and very well cared for, with every amenity, but also very comfortable. Everything is easy and restful. All of the staff that we encountered went above and beyond to take care of us and make our visit special.

Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023).

Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023). The city suffered in the urban renewal of the late '60's and '70's, but has a great theater program, good restaurants (with many of them a good step above!), a couple of good breweries, museums and amazing history. This is the place where the fundamentals of sound movies were invented. It's where the world's larges rope maker and marine cordage mfr were based. Very popular women's shoes (first half of 20th century) were located here. Remington farm implements, International Harvester farm implements, lots of science discoveries and more... Delve into this place, by all means. Visit Owasco Lake, go see other towns and all of the Finger Lakes, Auburn makes a nice base. Just choose a good hotel and spoil yourself.

The check in using the kiosk took way too long!

The check in using the kiosk took way too long! over 20 minutes! The system is way too slow. Also sound wasn't good...took too long to get the key cards. we finally got the cards and they didn't work! We were pressed for time after all the nonsense. I had to get new key cards and the lady in the office gave them to me in less than a minute! Why I has to use the kiosk when she was just sitting in the office while I was very upset it was taking so long! We should have had plenty of time to get ready for a wedding but we just made it! The room also had a funny smell when ate air conditioner was on.

Despite COVID, the staff was very accommodating. Extra towels were delivered promptly and any questions we had were answered completely and professionally. The restaurant on site was EXCELLENT. Folks were pleasant and food was delicious. Close to hiking trails and easy to find. Would definitely book this hotel again!

There is lots to do in this region.

There is lots to do in this region. We visited over fourth of July. First evening, had a delightful dinner on the veranda at Oak & Vale restaurant at Springside Inn. Delicious. Spent a day on Owasco Lake and visited several waterfalls which are always lot of fun. Wear hiking shoes or good sneakers as the rocks can be very slippery when wet/damp. Stopped in to the Harriet Tubman House but it was closed due to CoVid-19 restrictions. Alas, it was one of the main reasons we came to the area. Had an outstanding brunch at the Aurora Inn and walked through the quirky/charming little town of Aurora. Visited MacKenzie-Childs near Aurora. My wife loved it. Beautiful property. We stumbled upon a winery near Aurora called "Long Point"; not one of the big ones, but the wine was very good and brought home a case. Staff are great but ask for Russ. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Spent about two hours there. A great place to spend the afternoon especially if it is raining or really hot. Stopped into Skaneateles on the way home which is a quaint town with shopping and several good restaurants. Plan to spend a couple of hours along the waterfront. Visit the town pier; it gives a great view of some of the fabulous mansions nearby. It is also right next to the tour boat (we didn't have time to go on the boat). We ate at the Blue Water Grill which is on the water and next to the town pier. Not bad. Portions are large, and are shareable. The Skaneateles Bakery is also great little spot.

It's exactly what we expected - a well priced motel with a comfortable room and a pool. The staff are wonderful and do whatever they can to make your stay a good one! The place is perfectly located between Skaneateles and Auburn. Cutest gift shop right across the road! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!
