Breakfast was really good! Location was also pretty good, had no complaints there!
Located in the Tennessee Valley in northern Alabama, the Sleep Inn hotel is midway between Nashville and Birmingham. This Athens, AL hotel is near many popular attractions, including the U.S.
The HVAC was loud, but did work well. The eggs were poorly cooked and the biscuits as hard a rock, 1/2 the sausae was not cooked completely. The room was extremely clean, the frig was the largest I have ever seen in a Hotel Room, The bathroom was excessively large, the main part of the room was small but sufficent. I would definately stay there again, the location to resturants, and gas stations was excellent for a travler staying over one night.

The hotel was newly renovated, fresh and bright. The room was quiet even though the hotel was older, everything was new and
clean. I requested a second floor room on the side away from the highway and that's what I got. It had one more bed than
needed but was told they were they were shorthanded and more staff were arriving soon This room was ready and there would be no additional charge. The dining area was very nice and clean, newly furnished. breakfast was very good, better than some higher priced chains I stayed in recently where they did not have Splenda or real half and half!
Yes, I would stay again and maybe bring my pup based on the reviews by pet owners as to how clean and pleasant it was for them. PS: Ask the clerk where to eat dinner. I didn't know the
Cracker Barrel had gotten so bad (small portions cheaply made food).

The friendly staff at Athens Days Inn is a real asset and compliment to the City of Athens. The smiling and efficient staff makes it a pleasure to stay at their facility. Me and my spouse stay at least 4-5 days a month. The rooms are clean and they are my HOME away from home!
I would like to say thank you for making my stay so pleasant.

It was easy to get to but the room had bugs (roaches) on the tv stand, crawling on my phone when we got ready to leave. Told the clerk at the front desk and the reply was “sorry about that.” Will not ever stay there again!!!

The staff was amazingly courteous and friendly. we love being able to have our fur baby, a dog, stay with us. And the bed was clean and comfortable. My husband tried the breakfast in didn't care for it at all and said they ran out of eggs and never put any back out. The carpet did have an odor possibly from all the pets but it wasn't that bad. They should just pull out the carpet and maybe put some other kind of flooring in they would take care of that problem. The only other thing I saw was the top of the toilet tank lid had stains on it which probably could be cleaned but since we don't touch it we just ignored it. It didn't really matter.
Athens was a really nice town with some really great restaurants and the people are pretty nice. Beware then a lot of these folks do not know how to drive. LOL
Staff was excellent (good staff is very important to me) and worked around an apparent communication failure between booking.com and the hotel. I indicated we were traveling with a dog when making the reservation, but that apparently did not get relayed to the hotel. This is the first problem I have ever had after many, many bookings with booking.com. They put us in a non-pet room and everything worked out fine. Room was clean, breakfast was good.
I arrive there and they told me that the last room is a smoking room. So I said that finally I can’t stay in that kind of room with my kids. So the woman told me to not worry and that she will cancel my reservation and I will be able to have back my money. It’s been 1 month and I never retrieve my money. I’m a good client of booking.com is it possible for you to refund me this hotel. Thank you!
This was not a hotel. This was an old motel in the process of being remodeled. It had outside doors and we didn't consider it safe. We didn't stay and had to find another hotel. Since we prepaid we lost our money. The woman at the desk argued with me that it was a hotel, not a motel. Very disappointed.
