We stayed 4 nights/3 days in Anaheim - 1 day each at Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, 1 day walking/bussing/shopping/eating locally. This was a good amount of time for our stay. Buses $5 per person for a day, good value and regular. Panini Kabob Grill - Anaheim was a stand out restaurant for us, beautiful fresh food and portion size.

This location was a great location.
This location was a great location. It was fairly close to the park and allowed us to cut through the Grand Californian. While we could have also continued through downtown Disney, we avoided majority of the crowds.
When we returned to the hotel about 12am, the atmosphere was a bit more "sketch" as the homeless population was either walking around or sleeping. However, I never felt unsafe. Even though it was against a busier road, you could not hear much of the traffic even as soon as you got into the parking area.
The room was a great layout as well. The bathroom was around the corner from the bed, so you could get ready for the day without waking the entire room.

We only went to Disneyland. The Riviera Hotel was about a 3/4 mile walk from the security gates at Disneyland/California Adventure. That is a bit of a walk but closer hotels cost much more. For a place to sleep and shower, the Riviera was a good value.

Anaheim is geared towards mass tourism for Disney. Hotels, restaurants, and transport are all set up to facilitate the thousands of people going to Disneyland and Disney Resort.
Anaheim Regional Transportation buses run all day and are very cheap. But you must be able to download the Awaywego App onto your phone.
Staying in Anaheim often means going to the Convention Center or Disneyland.
For those, the Hilton and Marriott have the best access, but the Clarion Anaheim is a less expensive place to stay in almost the same location.
The building is old, but not unpleasantly so. I liked the historical taste of the floors and pillars.
The room furnishings are not bad, and the space is adequate. I especially appreciated the spacious desk (note that some rooms do not have desks).
The staff was courteous, not excessive or lacking in service.
The hotel is situated at 7-10min walk distance of the main entrance of Disneyland and California Adventure. On arrival I was upgraded free of charge to a suite. The room was large and confortable. The breakfast room is located on the top floor of the hotel and you can view some California Adventure from the rooftop area while having breakfast. The staff was very helpful in planning driver service to remote locations such as Universal Studios Hollywood or return trip to LAX.
It was a lovely hotel to stay in - good location, spacious room and all the facilities I needed. It was close to Disneyland itself, only about a 10 minute walk. And it was close to local public transport and also the LA public transport to get me from the airport to Anaheim and then back to downtown LA. I also liked that breakfast was included, it was fantastic to have a decent meal before heading to Disneyland for the day!
It's very close to the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks (only a 15 minute walk). It was clean and well kept. It was just what we needed as a place to sleep whilst visiting the Parks and spending all of the day there. The staff were very friendly, responsive to messages and accommodating, including storing luggage after we checked out (but before we left Anaheim).
Location. Close to Disneyland. Nice pathways and gardens walking to Downtown Disney. An older hotel but comfortable. Room to fit suitcases and be able to move around room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fairly quiet. Curtains blocked out the light.
