The breakfast was crunchy and not much taste. The kitchen staff was in transition. I bought water and protein
Shakes and became self sufficient. When I arrived it was late no water for taking my pills. I only had one set of towels
I kept my room tidy. No housekeeping. Ok by me. There will be no recommendations from me.

Kelly’s rooms are in a cute and private house. There is access to a kitchen and the outdoor seating was great for evening wine sipping and book reading. We left before breakfast for a tour the first morning, but Kelly cheerfully accommodated my gluten intolerance and made us fantastic egg bowls with a cauliflower tortilla the second morning. The location was close to a highway, with a water view over some gorgeous lava cliffs about 10 min away and a fruit stand about 5 min away

The place was clean, easy to find, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The place was conveniently located near many attractions, places to eat, and the other renters seemed to be courteous and respectful.

The cottage was very cute and welcoming. It smelled very clean and was nice and cool upon arrival. I loved the balcony and view of the ocean.

The location gave us easy access to both Hilo and Volcano National Park. We landed at Kona airport and had to drive across the island to get to the Hilo side. I wouldn’t recommend that drive at night. This area is less commercial and more laidback than Kona.
