Owners are very welcoming, you instantly feel welcomed and part of the family. We did the ziplining with Andrew and had so much fun. Breakfast was plentiful and so delicious. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Really nice location only 10 min walk into the main town. We had a wonderful stay at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge while traveling with our rooftop tent, and it exceeded all expectations! The lodge staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Even though we were camping, we were given access to the lodge’s excellent facilities, which were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed.
The location is perfect for gorilla trekking, with the starting point just a short distance away. The lodge’s peaceful surroundings, nestled in the heart of nature, provided a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area before or after an adventurous day.
We also appreciated the option to enjoy meals at the lodge – the food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

A great spot on the edge of town. Nice place to relax after your exertions in the forest! Staff were great and the manager set me up with a great gorilla trek. He seems to be 'the man' to arrange tours for the area.
