The meals (2 per day) were good: usually a salad, chips, fried chicken or similar.
It would be an excellent place for visiting the Aquapark, but it wasn't open. (?seasonal or war).
It would be a good place to enjoy all the many food stalls etc, but all were closed.
It was a good place to take a walk up the east side of the estuary(Limanska St), and to walk along the Zakota Spit to the Bridge, but the bridge was out of bounds to non-military.
It could be a good base for a group of people to get together on holidays, with barbecue and kids playground.
It is a train-ride to Odessa from Karolino-Buhaz Station, which is immediately opposite.
It would be a quick train-ride to Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and the Akkerman Fort, and on to Izmail, which is worth a visit, except that the Zakota Bridge is not passable. (Wait for the demise of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and the War Reparations.)

Our experience is that the hotel is very clean and comfortable. It was the end of the season and the staff were probably quite tired after helping guests all summer but they were friendly and helpful. The pool was spotless, the breakfast selection was great and the food delicious and fresh. The room was a great size and temperature with a reasonable view of the sea. The walk to the beach was only a couple of minutes and the beach was clean with loungers put out by the hotel with a snack bar, changing area and toilet. The hotel is clearly expanding with even nicer facilities and we will be back next summer to enjoy them.
We also liked our visit to Shabo winery. It was about a 40 minute bus ride but the tour of the winery was world-class. We indulged in the wine tasting and it is truly wonderful wine. We took public transit. I would suggest asking the staff at the hotel if they could arrange transport as our trip back was a bit late in the afternoon and turned into a bit of an adventure. I'm sure the staff know a better way to travel.
База отдыха Горный Орел features a terrace, restaurant, a bar and BBQ facilities in Zatoka. Located around 300 metres from Karolino Buhaz Beach, the hotel is also 50 km away from Odessa Train Station....
The hotel is well placed in first line of sea. Room was ample, new and well decorated, with fridge, silent conditioner, safe, iron+iron table, glasses, kettle and complimentary coffe/tea bags every day. Staff was very polite, kind and helpful. Overall, a really very comfortable place to stay.
