Bahari Pori Resort, hotel in Pangani

Situated in a mangrove forest with access to a sandy beach, Bahari Pori Resort features an outdoor swimming pool. It also offers a restaurant and several thatched roof tents and cottages.

Francesco is the definition of a gracious host, full of information about the area, and able to make you feel completely at ease and at home. The food is also a cut above, and I loved the interior design of the place using driftwood from the beach. Can't recommend a visit to Bahari Pori more strongly.

Ushongo Beach Bandas, hotel in Pangani

Located a few steps from Ushongo Beach, Ushongo Beach Bandas provides accommodation with a garden, a bar and room service for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is provided.

Safe, the owner of the place, is the only local running a hotel on Ushongo Beach, so if you want to support the locals, you should stay with him. The restaurant is charming and the food is really good - and directly from the restaurant you can watch thousands of little crabs on the beach, when evening comes. Also Safe helped us a lot, with catching the Bus and organizing a Bodaboda to the busstation when we had to leave again. It was a really relaxing and nice time we spent at Ushongo.

Embedodo Beach House, Ushongo beach, Pangani, hotel in Ushongo Mabaoni

Featuring sea views, Embedodo Beach House, Ushongo beach, Pangani provides accommodation with a private beach area and a patio, around a few steps from Ushongo Beach.

We loved staying here and would come again. It's a beautiful setting on a gorgeous beach. The outside patio area is so nice, comfy and relaxing. The beach is very secluded barely anyone passes ..you could go the entire day and see only 2 people walk past so it's very private. We went to Maziwa Island which the property manager helped us organise. The staff are very nice, professional and it's clear they want to make your stay great. The lady who serves food is a brilliant cook. Every morning she just appeared with a delicious breakfast. This was a very relaxing stay for us.

An hour's drive down a dirt road from Pangani Beach airstrip...

An hour's drive down a dirt road from Pangani Beach airstrip we found ourselves at the remote and beautiful Kijongo Bay. We received a warm welcome from Luke & Anita and their friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see with only us and the local fishermen and women there. Swimming in the Indian Ocean is warm and inviting. We had deeply relaxing massages and a beautiful walk to the nearby mangroves to look at the bird life and watch the sun go down. The baboons were in the coconut trees watching our progress. We felt disconnected from the outside world (although there is WiFi) and were rested and restored when we returned to the 'real world'.
