Sun Moon Lake is breathtakingly beautiful. Words or images cannot rightfully describe how pretty this place is until you get to experience it by yourself. It is best with the right weather, I would recommend visiting in Winter when there is less rainfall. There are also a bunch of activities to do. You can bike around the Lake to Xiangshan Visitor Center, take a ferry to Ita Thao to browse for delicious street food, walk along the board walk to the ropeway and enjoy the view of the lake. There are also several temples and traditional religious and cultural sites to explore and learn about the indigenous tribes. The only downside is the bus timing is a little bit too far apart. Many locals and tourists have private vehicles. You need to plan your time well if you don't have a car and want to visit the places not accessible by ferry.

This is the most beautiful family hotel that I have ever...
This is the most beautiful family hotel that I have ever stayed. It is considered pricey for a hotel in Taiwan but the view of Sun Moon lake and facilities in my opinion makes it really worth. It has one whole level of entertainment, pool with slide and hotspring at the same area so you won’t have to leave your children alone while enjoying. Their breakfast buffet is till 12noon and you can go as many times as you like so you ended up having free lunch too!
The lake view is just so beautiful. Both old and young enjoyed the facilities and said it was the best stay in Taiwan.
I wish there is more English speaking tour but the staff tried their best to explain using the English sheet.
The staffs were all very helpful and friendly, it just feels like home. Special shout out to the reservation team - Tina / Gigi and all the staffs that helped us get back my daughter’s Elsa wristband that has an AirTag . They found it and mail to back to us in Singapore immediately without any hesitation! Thank you so much!!! 🥰

The lake is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
The lake is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It is not the most accessible by public transport, however. If you like adventure, then you can take the bus (I also took a ferry because the bus coming into the area stops on one side of the lake). If you have the option of renting a car, I would recommend doing that, as it will make your trip more comfortable. Overall, Sun Moon Lake is wonderful, as well as the surrounding area. There are so many activities.

Most places in Shuishe were booked so I got this place about 10-15 walking minutes along the lake shore path. I recommend finding something in Shuishe, which is where the cute town and the boat piers are.

Nice place, Sun Moon Lake great fun, the cycling is great and well mapped and no one tries to kill you like they do in my home country of Australia, food nice, people friendly. The boat on the lake and cable car look fun, but I ride all day the moped to Puli the next day, so I'll try them next visit.

Excellent location, close to Shuishe wharf to catch ferries (10 min walk). Plenty of complimentary bikes at hotel and we used them to do the bike trail too (I do note it is shoulder season so maybe this changes during peak). Breakfast was included and it was delicious and abundant. Our room had a spa and tatami mat area which we did not expect! Balcony view of lake was great too. Courteous staff (Eugine).
The hotel is located in the heart of sun moon lake. Literally a few steps from the pier. It’s very clean and modern, staff were friendly and they offered free sunrise biking tour. You just need to rent your own bike and they’ll show you where so you don’t get ripped off.
The sunrise tour is not to be missed. Great guide and scenic tour. You might have a canine friend follow you as well.
Location was good as the hotel was near Ita Thao shopping area - the main shopping area in Sun Moon Lake. The lady at the hotel reception was very helpful and patiently explained things to us even though our Chinese was not that great. It helps to know some basic Chinese when you visit Taiwan as restuarant menus, and a lot of signage is in Chinese. The boat ride on the lake was great!
Beautifully appointed rooms which were spacious and very clean. The hotel staff were kind and helpful, assisting us in booking activities in the area. We travelled in a group and enjoyed that we could use the common spaces. Breakfast each morning was delicious and nutritious with fresh tasting ingredients. Overall, amazing value-for-money and a very enjoyable stay! Highly recommended.
The staff were very welcoming and took time to explain the room cards, when to use them for the entry door, and local facilities.
The rooms are very clean and the beds large and comfortable.
Will look to use this hotel.again if visiting Sun Moon Lake.
