A truly perfect stay experience, with extremely friendly hotel staff. The room was clean and tidy. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view of the stream and distant mountains. (No need to worry too much about privacy; we checked, and it's not possible to see into your room from the outside.) In the evening, while enjoying the hot spring, you can hear the sound of the stream, frogs, and birds—it's quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was served as a set meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food we received.

The hotel is in the “centre” of Wulai. The rooms and facilities are a bit dated, but well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For dinner, there are various options of hot pot. For breakfast, one can choose between a Chinese and Western breakfast.

Room was just nice for 4 people. Love the two sink concept + bidet toilet. Majority of the facilities and amenities were outside of the room and in a separate building from the accommodation, like the dining area, and the microwave and pools. It would have been great to use if it wasn't raining.

We really only walked to old town one day as we spent a lot of time in the hotel and in the hotel spa. However, in one day we in the village we had great street food, took a tram up the mountain, took a vintage train ride, went for a long walk, and we loved our hotel Volando Urai.
We didn't get a chance to go to the indigenous museum which looked great. We will visit Wulai again!

Wulai is such a fun, quaint town.
Wulai is such a fun, quaint town. It was a peaceful get-away for our family, but also had activities nearby that our kids could enjoy as a family. The Yun-hsien was one of our kids favorite areas to visit. We took the small trains up to the gondola, and took the gondola the rest of the way. It is not handicap accessible, and there are many stairs to climb at the end, if you have troubles with climbing. YuN-hsien itself had quite a few attractions that were closed, but I think there was enough for it to still be an enjoyable time. We enjoyed the scenery of Wulai, the laid back feel and trying the local food. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to get away to enjoy nature and rest, I would highly recommend Wulai.

Great value for the money considering you get breakfast and dinner, both of which were yummy. The view of the river in the dining area was particularly nice. The public hot spring facility had lots of different jets which I enjoyed using.
The location is easily accessible and the room is spacious & clean. We enjoy soaking the hot spring water (both public & private) after a day's trekking. The dinner was sumptuous, but the breakfast was simple fare in comparison.
