I went out-of-season and at times felt like I had the hotel to myself. There were definitely more staff than patrons. So they were happy to oblige with any request. The room was lovely, well appointed and clean, and the location is beautiful. Within a 10 minute walk or couple of minutes drive you can reach six different beaches, dozens of places to buy food and drink, including the excellent bar on the beach operated by the hotel. Being on a hill means you get beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
Travel epicentre. You can take buses (very unreliable, timetables very random, online, only in one direction, not updated often, so they change without word), but very cheap; shared taxis & mini vans are good and also cheap, ask around. Also private taxis.
A lot if places close, or close early on Sundays.
Attractive water front.
A place to go to get to other places- nothings far from Scarborough, but you don’t need to stay there except for early morning ferry departure.
Accommodation over priced!

Tobago is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, a hidden gem unlike most of the popular islands. The warmth of the people and the safety of the location is a plus. It has becomemore expensive as the A listers from North America who seek privacy have bought property.
Unlike, Trinidad which is more urban and certainly not a tourist destination, the local government has done a remarkable job of the infrastructure in the remote parts of the island.
As a choice for family, relaxation and lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling and bird watching, the isalnd is a top choice.

Personally I would recommend the North of the Island.
Personally I would recommend the North of the Island. Coastline is prettier, more relaxed vibe, not as busy.
Pigeon Point is a beautiful beach but too commercialised for us. Felt like Florida. Beaches in the North un-spoit and natural. Englishmans Bay, Castora, Pirates Bay and Lovers Bay all sensational.
Reef worth seeing and great snorkelling.

Scarborough is very beautiful.
Scarborough is very beautiful. But i believe that hotel owners need to ensure that their guest have the most enjoyable and restful stay at their hotel and not focus on receiving payments and guests are not truly happy with their stay.

A very clean city, with polite drivers.
A very clean city, with polite drivers. A diversity of eating and drinking places that are affordable. We found the Bar Code soca bar served fantastic meals. The Pigeon Point Heritage Park alone can be an entire holiday: wind surfing, glass bottom boat coral watching (a bit of a disappointment), and visiting an uninhabited No Man’s Land where the vendors sold unsavoury food! The park has the best beach in Tobago and its grounds manicured and beautiful.

Scarborough is a beautiful place to visit with lots of outdoor activities: hiking, snorkeling, and bird watching.
Lots of variety in local food without the hefty price tags like other tourist destinations like Costa Rica.
it is also very LGBT friendly and the people are very warm.
Nice hotel, but now very dated and in need of upgrades. Fixtures and fittings have a lot of visible wear and tear.
Breakfast was ordinary
Nothing else to do close by, very quiet area.
Pool area is nice and is usable at any hour, which seemed like a plus.
But our room was alongside and when other guests had a pool party was very loud right outside the room.
Starfish Tobago has an excellent beachfront, excellent food, nightly entertainment and most of all the staff aim to please their guests...Guests are served a welcome drink in a relaxing surrounding while you wait for your room.
My sister and I fully enjoy our stay at the hotel. The room, the pool, the beach, the location, the employees and the owners of the hotel, everything was wonderful. We felt like home.
home away from home and let’s you experience Tobago like a local. Close enough to everything while away from noise. Perfect for couples retreat and the place is naturally ventilated.
