The location is excellent because it allows you to have a beautiful view of the valleys. Azis and his brother, all of them, are helpful, kind, attentive, they made our stay more enjoyable. The additional services offered by the hotel are with good companies at good prices and excellent quality. The toilet and facilities are welcoming, reserved, comfortable, neat. We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of...
Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us.
It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle.
Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Staying in a cave hotel is a unique experience. The castle (Uchisar Kalesi) is just a few steps away. The service from the front desk staff was 5 stars. The breakfast was excellent with different breads each day. The view from the breakfast room and terraces is breathtaking. There are so many restaurants to choose from within just a few minutes walk. Uchisar is not quite so busy or full of tourists as some other places, such as Goreme. It feels a bit more relaxed.
I loved everything about Hu of Cappadocia, from the friendly staff, to the beautiful photogenic spots inside the hotel, to the amazing breakfast. There's absolutely nothing not to love about this hotel and I will definitely come back when staying in Uchisar. The bed was also the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, in my life, I'd love their supplier.
The location was perfect and very near Uchisar Castle and an amazing view point for the Hot air Balloons.. Excellent Turkish hospitality by the Staff. Riza who was the owner of the hotel was an excellent host and made us feel very comfortable and homely.. A big thank you to him for all the help and support he gave us during our stay.
Absolutely incredible location and value, plus the friendliest hosts! The hotel is right across from Uchisar castle and has stunning rooftop views. Room was spotlessly clean. Appreciated how knowledgeable the hosts were about the history of area/cappadocia, learned a lot!
We had a wonderful stay at dream of Cappadocia! Berk and Humayun made sure that our stay was comfortable and offered us complimentary drinks. We would definitely recommend this hotel! The location is excellent, right next to the Uchisar Castle.
