We had a wonderful stay in Patara ! The host family was very welcoming and caring, with a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. The hotel is comfortable, quiet and peaceful, and we had a beautiful view of the sea from our room. I only wish we could have stayed longer !

Wonderful hosts. Enjoyed all our meals of home cooking. Clean and bright room with lovely design touches (mirror and rug) and had a balcony overlooking the pool. Bathroom was compact but clean. Location close enough for us to walk in the morning to Patara beach and the antique site (about 2.5km). Free parking on property.

Xanthos Boutique Hotel Patara, hotel in Patara

Xanthos Boutique Hotel Patara features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Patara.

Staff amazing - did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, frequently without being asked. An unsophisticated gem in an unsophisticated village. The food was the best by far from anywhere else near by; simple but perfect. Breakfast amazing - a fantastic buffet every morning, constantly replenished. Pool surprisingly large for a small hotel and kept to an immaculate standard. The chickens and tortoises wandering about the gardens were delightful. Setting also very picturesque with the Palm trees planted around, and lovely, sympathetic lighting in the evening. The hotel was quiet (end of season) with only about 5 rooms occupied most of the time; so we were spoilt, but plentiful chairs around the pool, hammocks hanging from the trees. Need to be aware that it is a short, very steep hill down to the village; but well lit - short cut is down the stairs through the Dolphin Hotel. The whole experience was of the utmost relaxation!

This guesthouse turned out to be the perfect place for a vacation! Beautifully maintained grounds, a lovely clean pool, cozy and clean rooms, and very tasty breakfasts and dinners. The hotel is run by a very kind and hospitable family. There’s a wonderful garden with beautiful fruits, friendly cats, a dog, and even a little turtle. Thanks to Yusuf for the Turkish lessons - öküz ğözü, ikişerli, lütfen 🍳🍳 :))) it became our morning mantra )) An amazing place! 10/10. Thank you for everything! :)

It's a small village with a handful of restaurants and tourist shops and a couple of mini markets. Apart from the beach and ruins, there isn't much there, but the location was good for us with a car as we were able to explore all along the coast - Aludanez, Fethiye, Kalkan and Kas were all within a reasonable distance. The drive along the coast going north was exciting! Great views but lots of single track mountain climbs to navigate, we enjoyed that.

Visited a couple of times before.

Visited a couple of times before. Village restaurants not so good as previously. Simbar charging more than in Kalkan for cocktails! Village generally very quiet this time, no buzz, however first time visiting in Sept, which may account for this. Bus timetable not worth publishing as they come when they want and don't always go to the bus station.

Despite its popularity, Patara remains a traditional Turkish village. This is because it is protected for both archaeological and nature reasons. Turtles nest here. We visit regularly. It is all accessible on foot but if it's very hot or you have trouble walking any distance, it is best to get the dolmus to the beach. Yes, you have to pay to enter the beach but this is because it is part of an archaeological site. The beach was very, very crowded on a hot summer weekend (avoid in high season if you don't like crowds) but it is so long it's easy to find space to sit and swim. Patara is very convenient for visits to other sites like Xanthos and Letoon.

Patara must be the one of the most perfect holiday destinations. An enormous, world class beach which means it is never crowded. In addition you walk past or through the excavated Lycian and Roman ruins of the ancient port city - amazing! And, of course, the wonderful generosity and good nature of the locals.

The location is great. The area is very peaceful and quiet. There’s a large swimming pool and a big garden. Perfect for relaxation. The hotel itself is not very big so there were not a lot of people and I liked it. Delicious breakfast and excellent servise. All workers in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I came there last year, I came back this year and I’m sure I’ll be back again soon. I recommend this place to everyone.

We loved staying in lovely Patara (we had a car) which is close to many of the attractions we wanted to see but not as busy as some of the bigger towns. The village has lovely restaurants and a beach closeby. There is a great shop across the street. The rooms were spacious and clean and the pool was lovely. The breakfast was reasonable.

The pension was wonderful at some point but it does need some maintenance work. The host was great and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. Overall, for us was a good choice for a stopover during our tour of Turkey.
