Thankfully was just one night between flights.

Thankfully was just one night between flights. Staff does not speak a word in English you need to set and up to get the menu and they don’t even bother. They forgot 2 items of our food order. Drinks you need to ask them 5 times to maybe get something close to what you have originally asked (after 5 times asking for a Fanta the got us an ice tea peach). Reception said he was too busy to contact our airline to ask for some items we have lost on the flight. The place is in the middle of nowhere so you have no chance to get out of the hotel if you don’t want to be walked over by cows running in the middle of the street.

My husband and I had the opportunity to visit Turkey last...

My husband and I had the opportunity to visit Turkey last month, and because of the pandemic, we sought out hotels that had specific designations that listed them as adhering to cleanliness and hygiene practices in a way that would reduce the likelihood of the transmission of COVID-19. We found this property to be very responsive before our trip, answering questions that we had, and subsequently making the check in process very smooth. They were also very accommodating before we checked in, as we had accumulated several bulky items in the time that we had been in Istanbul, and the hotel very graciously allowed us to store our items in their hotel before check in so that we did not have to take them with us on our interim trip to Albania. They were also able to provide room service upon our arrival and late check-in, and the breakfast the next morning was served in a mostly-organized way (though I did have to remind them more than once about the fried eggs I requested), and the outdoor space in which we could eat was very nice. Our only frustration about our stay was the layout of the hotel - the elevator/lift that we took to the floor that was listed on the wall ended up not actually taking us to our room. We had to walk down several hallways and up at least one decently-long flight of stairs (with heavy, bulky luggage), and down another short flight of stairs in order to access our room. Because we were only there for one night, we didn't bother to figure out a more efficient way to get to our room. But we had been upgraded to a balcony room, so, we couldn't be too mad...all in all, we would definitely stay there again if we needed to access IST airport.
