Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
I had a fantastic time in Göreme! However, I deeply regret choosing Sato Cave Hotel for my stay. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.
The owner claims to have over 20 years of experience running his own business, yet he completely lacks basic customer service skills. He is extremely rude, unprofessional, and has serious issues controlling his temper and emotions. He refuses to let customers share their views and often cuts conversations short by dominating with his tone and opinions.
If you need further proof, just look at how he responds to reviews. His replies are anything but respectful or constructive. I can’t imagine someone who is truly educated and cultured speaking to customers in such a way.

Absolutely stunning location and a once in a life time experience. You'll never see anything like this elsewhere in the world and to be there in person is insane. The people are lovely, the distance to the sites is minimal, you'll definitely buy a souvenir or 2. The rugs and pottery are so beautiful, I had to get some for myself.
Highly recommend you visit - 1 morning to balloon chase and watch the go up and another morning to go up in a balloon.

It is a great location to explore Cappadocia.
It is a great location to explore Cappadocia. With a lot of traditional restaurants around and coffee shops, it is quite well connected to all major tourist attractions. Be prepared to walk uphill as taxi and uber services are limited.

We were there in winter (low season).
We were there in winter (low season). Hot air balloon flying in the morning were not that many. Plus it also depends on the weather that day. So we didn't manage to capture photos of Cappadocia with lots and lots of hot air balloon in the background. That aside, the landscape with snow all over was breathtaking.
Our first morning there, we were out walking around at 9am after our breakfast in the hotel, but was surprised that most stores were still closed. Life starts around 11am at Goreme city center area till late.
For family with young kids, we booked the Red Tour. Our youngest child who is 3 years old enjoyed it. Ditch your stroller for the day and just bring a baby carrier instead.

Briliant hiking and mountain biking.
Briliant hiking and mountain biking. Just get a little out of the town and you are in nature with the amazing caves and rock formations to yourselves. Best lokum (Turkish delight) and jewlery (ED jewelery) in the whole of Turkey. They are next door to each other. We wished we had bought more. Better than anything we could find in Istanbul. The only downside of Goreme was the level of food offerings. We stayed 4 nights. Quick China was the best but expensive. Goreme is like a ski resprt, tourist town. But the Lokum and jewelery store were both great.

Ibrahim was very helpful, organised amazing excursions and was so committed to making our experience wonderful - thank you so much Charming cave hotel - you gave us an experience we will never forget ! If you’re visiting Cappadocia I would highly recommend booking this hotel , you won’t regret it! ☺️
Highly recommend this hotel if you’re considering staying in Cappadocia. The hotel is not in a cave, but the location gives you a great view of the cave hotels, and there is a place on the rooftop to watch the hot air balloons. The hotel is located near a market, shops and restaurants. Bedrooms and facilities were clean and the photos reflect how the rooms are. The breakfast is amazing! The hotel night attendant was very friendly and attentive.
Beautiful boutique hotel run by a lovely family. The property is beautiful and the rooms feel spacious, bright and airy even though set into a cave. They have the highest rooftop in Goreme with a lovely bar for evening drinks. Lovely breakfast all home cooked. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Nothing is too much trouble and they can help you to plan your time and activities in Cappadocia. We hope to be back very soon!
The most beautiful cave hotel in Cappadocia!
The room was stunning! Very large spa bath too!
the hotel was located right underneath the lookout,
meaning viewing the balloons from the hotel was perfect!
The hotel was fantastic decorating the room for
my husband’s birthday! highly recommend!
