This is a hotel for us perfect location and has everything we need not far from the airport or walking distance from our condo where our son stays. Perfect with friendly staff and rooms with a kitchen and separate bedroom all facilities are well maintained. I mentioned in english that one of the external AC units was requiring some work of the fan this was fixed next time we stayed (matter of days) we stay here regularly always happy thank you Excella

Breakfast is superb. 4 choices for us. Very delicious and big amount of food. The hotel is so nice with real nostalgic vibes not retro but the 90 years old building. Like go back in time when the train line just arrived at the province. Khun B who’s the owner is the best staff . His knowledge of Ubon and nearby is impeccable. It's a large town and we barely scrathed the surface in 2.5 days there. Great temples, quirky converted shops downtown and quite a few interesting bars. Not many western expats and/or tourists around, but that just added to the genuine feel of the place.
We drove out to Pha Taem national park to view the 3000 year old cliff painting overlooking the Mekong River. Would definitely recommend doing that. We will be looking into some of the other national parks in the area, next time we're in town.
Oh and we were there in late October and were pleasantly surprised at how cool if was, especially afer dark. Very refreshing!

Big city and nice people, a lot of attractions to see nearby. I rent a car with driver to Pha Taem National Park, to see the ancient rock paintings and well as mushroom shaped rocks. It costs me 2400B for a day. However, if you can speak Thai, it would be much more convenient. I am Chinese, can speak English but not Thai. You can seldom find a local who can speak English, not to say Chinese. Most restaurant menus are only in Thai, so try to find those with pictures. A translate app really helps. May come back after I learn more Thai.

We only had one night, but, had a very nice meal at Ubon Tap & Taste, plus they had a great selection of beers.
Saw quite few places we would have liked to visit, we will go again for a long weekend, stay at same hotel, great value.

Ubon is a quite pleasant city for walking.
Ubon is a quite pleasant city for walking. Almost all of the main attractions are on the small area. Vegetarian restaurant Boon Niyon Uthayan on Thanon Srinarong. Wat Thung Si Meuang is worth to visit.

I have stayed in 3 hotels during my visit to Thailand, Sunee was by far the best! The staff was amazing, super kind and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, the swimming pool was beautiful, the hotel was directly connected with a big shopping center, in front of the hotel is the famous food market, and our room was like a small appartment with a giant double bed.
When it comes to price/quality this hotel is simply unbeatable!
Really comfortable, spacious room, with balcony and outdoor sink to wash items of clothing if needed. Quiet and very friendly and helpful staff. I would say this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would definitely book again.
The hotel was comfortable, clean & the location is perfect for those having to leave for the airport.
It is close to shops & restaurants which is really convenient especially if you don’t want to go too far from the hotel.
