Fabulous property with the most amazing hosts! Mai and her family go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. And it was! Large, clean room with an amazing view, delicious food, and everything we needed to explore…or just relax. This was my favorite hotel after 13 weeks in Southeast Asia! Can’t wait to come back!
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats.
I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person.
Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

I was in town for the first annual (I hope) Chiang Khong Music Festival.
The music was excellent and the roads to and from were perfect for motorcycles.
Chiang Khong is a sleepy little town with just enough nightlife to keep it from being boring.
It is right on the Mekong River and there is a "Friendship Bridge" border crossing to Lao (Laos) very close.
If you need to decompress, this is a good place to do it.
Great place to spend the night for Motorcycle enthusiasts.

Nothing much here but it's away from the waterfront at Chiang Saen and Sop Ruap with their Burmese and Chinese casinos across the river. We drove so we were able to get around to some out of the way places downriver and over to Sop Ruap so the ladies could go shopping. All in all a pleasant place to stay especially for us older farangs.
Very beautiful and authentic hotel! We had a big spacious and clean room with a balcony and a lovely view on the mountains and green garden. The bathroom and shower was very nice as well. It’s the perfect place to rest and enjoy the peacefulness!
The owner is super friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel and it was prepared by the owner’s sister-in-law. The food was delicious and the best Massaman curry we had in Thailand! We were here only for 1 night but we would have loved to stay longer.
The rooms (and hotel in general) would profit from a renovation. The slightly ‘dated’ atmosphere, however, was more than compensated by the professional and extremely helpful and friendly young ladies at the reception - thank you for drawing me a map to find my way to the lovely lakeside! The location next to the central bus station made for a convenient stopover.
Free pick up after we crossed the Laos border into Thailand and they cooked us a lovely meal once we got back to the property. The little huts had good A/C, were comfortable and clean. They dropped us off at the bus station in the morning too.
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very pleasant and is located almost on the banks of the Mekong. A perfect one night stopover before our trip up the Mekong with Nagi of Mekong
