We spent four unforgettable days at Vana Belle in late October, staying in the Grand Villa Pool Suite, the property’s largest suite. From our bed, we could look out across the infinity pool to a stunning, uninterrupted view of the sea. The tranquility and positive energy from this view were indescribable—it was pure paradise.
Vana Belle offers luxury at an unparalleled level, and the hospitality was beyond anything we could have imagined. Our butler, Frang, provided service that was nothing short of exceptional, attending to our needs around the clock. Every request, however specific, was met with ease and enthusiasm. Frang and the entire staff were solely focused on ensuring we had the smoothest, most enjoyable stay possible. Frang’s courtesy, attentiveness, and natural hospitality made our experience feel truly special.
For vegetarians, Vana Belle is an absolute delight. We were spoiled for choice, with a range of dishes that made each meal memorable. Breakfasts were a particular highlight, featuring freshly prepared puris, parathas, and flavorful vegetables (like aaloo and daal) that made us feel as though we were back home. The avocado toast, Greek salad, and vegetable fried rice were some of the best vegetarian dishes we've ever had, even surpassing our experiences in the UK. One morning, the staff surprised us with an eggless cake that left us all speechless—it was a unique and delightful touch.
Dinner portions were generous, and the quality of the vegetarian Thai cuisine was superb. We found ourselves returning to favorite dishes night after night. The level of care and attention that went into preparing our meals, particularly for a vegetarian diet, was truly Michelin-star quality.
The courtesy of the staff was evident in every interaction. Vana Belle is truly in a league of its own—an experience that exceeded every expectation. We cannot recommend it highly enough for those seeking a luxurious and unforgettable retreat.

I wouldn't go back.
I was so disappointed by Koh Samui, I thought it was a nice place to go but aside from beautiful beaches and the views from the mountains, its really rough and run down.
Chaweng itself is like Magaluf. The strip is awful. But if you like that then you'd probably like it but not being a drinker or a partier I really hated it.
We did however eat at some really great restaurants all over Koh Samui

It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water.
It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. I did not prefer nor enjoy Lamai beach (supposed to be better, but I disagree).

Pretty big town for Samui.
Pretty big town for Samui. Lots to see, especially inland a bit where the market is, and the grittier streets. The area by the beach is all gated resorts and a bit bland/international. However, there's a real Thai town in Chaweng if you look beyond the resorts, and it's far more interesting.

Excellent location for the price, easy access to town and several attractions. We took a Song Taew to Wat Plailam for 150 Baht and walked to Big Bhuda Temple. Then took a taxi 200 baht to Fisherman Village. We had dinner at the Coco Tams Restaurant, it is little pricy but the atmosphere was fabulous, watched the Fire Show on the beach beside the restaurant.
Staffs at the Chaweng Noi Pool and Villa were very helpful and courteous.

The view from the bedroom, restaurant and pool was spectacular. The food at Dr Frogs was very good. The hotel is quite old, but it makes up for it with its comfortable bed and restful ambience. There is no direct access to a beach but a 10 min walk takes you to Chaweng beach. A 10-15 ride on a taxi or tut tut takes you to Chaweng town. This hotel is near the top of a rocky hill which means that one has to climb up and down stairs. The hotel is value for money.
The oceanfront pool villas are stunning, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We even received a complimentary extra bed for our daughter 😊 Having direct access to Chaweng Noi Beach was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely book again.
The staff is very kind and caring, the room was amazing, the food also was amazing, the hotel’s private beach and pool were great and we also had a massage in the spa and it was out of this world
