The community vibe and communal seating for meals really appealed to us. We loved the people we met there, as it caters to a range of travelers whether solo or with a group. The staff (yoga teachers, front desk/charity workers, drivers and Ton our brother-from-another-mother) really made us feel like Ecologic was our true home in the jungle. The farm-to-table buffet fed us so well!

The accommodations at this small hotel rivals any at the best five star hotels where we have stayed. The cabin where we stayed was very tastefully decorated with antique french furniture. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean and quite large.
The restaurant had a bakery and an ice cream bar with some of the best quality baked goods and beautiful ice cream desserts. Food was outstanding even though the menu was somewhat limited.
The owner and staff went our of their way to accommodate our requests. We were traveling on a motorcycle with a sidecar and were concerned about it getting wet. They thoughtfully provided us with a cover for the bike. Because we wanted to get any early start for our travel on the day we left, the owner and staff came in an hour early to provided us with a delicious breakfast. There was a choice of an Asian or American breakfast that is provided with the room rental.
We highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and will book a room here again.
