I mostly like the peaceful atmosphere there with the natural sounds. The panoramic and incredible view from the room and the pure ocean view. The staff were so cheerful, lovely with their amazing and beautiful smiles. The room itself is a charming place where you can relax the whole day with the fabulous ocean view. Everything was perfect and I highly recommend Ao Luek to all my relatives and friends.

Offering a garden, บาย เดอะแดม คาเฟ่ แอนด์ ฟาร์มสเตย์ By the dam Cafe and Farmstay offers accommodations in Plai Phraya.

It's very remote and it feels very lonely there. The venue is great but requires a lot of effort. What we loved for sure was the breakfast. Colorful, organic, satisfying. I'd consider staying there again on the way to samui.

Phang Nga Origin Hotel, hotel in Ao Luk

Located in Phangnga, 23 miles from Wat Bang Thong, Phang Nga Origin Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace.

The staff were lovely - we had a very nice welcome, with an excellent description of all the restaurants and cafes in the area, and recommendations on where to go. It was nice being in a 'real' Thai town, and not the tourist environment of, for example, Phuket. The whole hotel had a nice modern 'designer' feel to it, but it also kept to the Thai-style. The coffee, tea and sweets in the morning were a lovely touch as well.

Le Erawan Phang Nga Hotel, hotel in Ao Luk

Le Erawan Phang Nga Hotel features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Phangnga. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers room service and a 24-hour front desk.

Breakfast was the typical, Thai-style buffet. It was not exceptional but it was fine. The building itself is very new. Wifi, hot water—everything works very well. Once the swimming pool is complete, it will be a very pleasant place to stay,.

Ao Luk is a very quiet area, no traffic, full of local fishermen's life and the most amazing views! Taking tours there feels like the real cultural experience as it is not touristic as other areas of Thailand, but beautifully located between Krabi and Phuket, the local people were so nice and welcoming, we felt like we found the perfect escape of tourists, while it was easy to get along as well. You will need a car\motorbike\taxi driver as not much is going on out :) But there are plenty of national parks, kayaking areas and a nice pier to take private tours. Cheaper than other places. Loved it.

Regular little Thai town, few shops, intersection in the middle, nothing really there. Than Bok Khorani national park is a nice place to see, although it's super tiny and difference between ticket price for locals and foreigners (60 vs 300 baht) is just ridiculous and few little waterfalls are definitely not worth this price. If you're a fan of kayaking, there are some interesting areas with caves around.
