We stayed in Poprad for just 1 night after a ski break in the Tatry mountains. Our flight was to/from the Poprad Tatry airport. We explored the town which was incredibly quiet (Monday afternoon). The Termy looked like it might have been good, but we had only been to another one the day before. If we had visited at a weekend or at a different time of year, we may have had a different experience.

A cozy town with a small central area which packs pretty nice restaurants and plenty of breweries. It can get somewhat sketchy during the night but we felt pretty safe around the center. Plenty of shops but they close early in some cases. I definitely recommend Dobre Casy brewery and Hodovna bistro. They both have a great staff and great offering. The proximity to the Hogh Tatras is great if you're travelling by car, which makes it great for those who are looking for hiking trails or winter sports resorts.

Poprad is the perfect base for exploring Slovakia.
Poprad is the perfect base for exploring Slovakia. The tram up the mountains is a must . Walking at Pleso and Smokovec is brilliant - both easy and hard trails. Pleso can be skied in the winter months,
We did the Sucha Bela walk which was great although not for the faint hearted if you're scared of heights ! We did the longer route to Klastorisko which had amazing views and self service beer . You can also get E- Bikes at the top of the Sucha Bela which i would recommend as the walk back is a bit boring and mostly a road track.
Large shopping centre in Poprad. Large selection of restaurants.
Public transport is cheap and readily available.
The locals do not speak a great deal of English although as stations and hotels the English is good.

The warmth of the people to strangers in their country was exemplary. Food was amazing, beer was amazing, location was amazing. God’s honest truth if you have a complaint about Poprad just check it’s not yourself that’s the problem.

The destination is excellent for going on trips to the Tatras. It is within 10 minutes by car from Poprad, and especially there is a train station there, and the train also goes to several stations in the Tatras. So you can save a decent amount on accommodation and go to different places in the Tatras every day. In Poprad, even though it is a smaller town, there are plenty of good restaurants or breakfast bars and shops. In principle, however, there is not much to do in the city, so it is ideal for going to the Tatras, sleeping over between trips associated with dinner and shopping during trips. However, there is quite a large water park in the city.

Easy access to High Tatras by tram, there are good ski resorts and its great place to go hiking in the summer. Rent a car if you want to visit other sites like Vrbov, Spis Castle, Bachledka or Low Tatras region.

Clean, renovated, safe hotel at the central part of Poprad. Close to the train station and many restaruants at the pedestrian area.
Stuff was friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, had chance to choose from difference foods and drinks.
Room was clean and enough warm. Warm water was all the time available from the pipe to have shower.
The small fridge worked well, had enough space inside to put some bottles and food inside.
Very nice location near Aquacity (8 min walk) and a supermarket and centre. You can walk everywhere from there. Quiet surroundings, even if close to rail station.
Very clean, modern, large bedroom and living room, very bright thanks to large windows, Playground for children, large garden.
I was satisfied with stay in AquaCity Poprad.

+Friendly staff on reception, always willing to help.
+Very good dinners.
+ Pools and saunas.
We stayed at this hotel twice. Everything is great, both times we arrived later than opening hours. At the registry office, we agreed when we would arrive and they welcomed us.
