Big, comfy bed in a big comfy room. The decor (something I usually don’t pay a lot of attention to) was attractive and unusual- the entire floor was sports-themed, but with an early to mid 1900’s focus. The hotel was situated about halfway between the train station and the old city center, so perfect! They are generous with their in room amenities, the mini bar contents were gratis and we appreciated the bottled water in particular. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked worth trying. Out of the three hotels we stayed in on this trip, it was easily our favorite.

The room was spacious, clean and very well equipped.
We love light but prefer black out curtains for sleeping and the curtains in our room were just perfect.
The breakfast room was clean, cozy, inviting and the food was tasty with many selections. The breakfast staff was consistently friendly and helpful.
The hotel manager even took time to show us a vacant room, with different features and dimensions and chatted with us about the origins and uniqueness of this hotel.
