An immaculate, spacious, well equipped apartment right on the main square. It was a short walk to the bus and train station. Staff were super hospitable and helpful. I wish that I could have stayed longer.

The host was very friendly and spoke English very well, so that made check-in easy. The location is amazing, so close to the city centre and with free parking in front on a quiet side street. It's a very short walk to the city square and city walls, from the apartment you have a great view of the city too. The apartment is very clean, shower was good and we really appreciated the use of the fridge because it was hot when we stayed.
There's also a very good Neapolitan pizza place nearby, and you can heat up the leftovers in the oven :)
A very historic and interesting town. Beautifully restored after decades of neglect. IMMACULATE centre. UK could learn some lessons. For us, it was a base for visiting the UNESCO wooden churches and there is a superb English-speaking guide bookable at the TIC at the top of the square. She speaks Slovak so can get the key for these unique and glorious churches. Lists of names and numbers at each church. Be careful of parking on the square; not permitted in daytime. Check notices. SUPERB beyond words restaurant ASSISI with 5* cafe opposite. Easy to spend the day there. It is on a train route from Kosice to where we flew with Wizzair. Quiet little airport. Lovely small walkable town.

The cobblestone town center is a throwback to medieval times...
The cobblestone town center is a throwback to medieval times. It is delightful to walk around and explore. We were there for a wedding for a young lady who grew up in Bardejov. We all stayed around the town square and were delighted with how walkable everything was. Our group did a few forays up into the Basilica and visited several castles in the area.

Overall, the city is very small and if the whether is bad there are no many things to look at. And it lacks some good places to eat.

During the weekend in winter,there was less people,but the tourist centre was closed most of the time.
It was very easy to just walk around the city centre,recommend to travelers to see it.

I stayed at the Hotel Pod Branou ("Hotel Under the Gate"),...
I stayed at the Hotel Pod Branou ("Hotel Under the Gate"), which was perfect, in my opinion. Reasonably priced, clean and confortable, and their restaurant served an excellent dinner. Unfortunately I only stayed there one night, and so wasn't able to enjoy the city as much as I should have, as I really fell in love with this place. The historic city center and especially the town square is probably one of the prettiest I have seen in all my years of travel. Also, so much interesting and historic stuff very close to the town, like castles and open air museums and wooden churches and all kinds of cool stuff. Will definitely be back.
Everything was like expected. The receptionist speaks very good german, so no problems on the language site. The breakfast was good. I've got fried eggs with bacon. We've had a good sleep. Bardejov is a sweet little town with a huge marketplace. On this weekend there was a beer festival. Great! If you want a good meal, try the Restaurant Assisi, address: Františkánov 139/2, 085 01 Bardejov. Worth a try!
The room was clean and comfy, the place is positioned between the town of Bardejov and its spa area, and the nature in June is just splendid. Also the restaurant is a big plus and the staff there was mostly nice
Great location, kind staff and great takeaway breakfast (city was in black during covid situation so we couldn't eat breakfast at hotel).
We can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Bardejov.

The hotel is situated on a hill looking over Bardejov, we liked the view from there (you need a car to reach it and go down to the center though).
Reasonably comfortable room in a modern apartment block very close to the centre of Bardejov, the Basilica of St Giles is only 100 metres away. Good shower.
