Honestly, a place that exceeds expectations. You are not getting a direct view of lake bled, nor vintgar valley, instead you get a place in a quiet hilly field, that provides you with a comfortable walk to both of the aforementioned spots. The house is tidy and well equipped yes, but it won't match the host. Literally the most pleasant and understanding person, that started our journey here in the greatest form possible. A chill and reasonable woman, that I have no hesitations in calling the most welcoming host. We have not Recommended unambiguously.

We stayed with half board and the food was alright. We are vegetarian and there were limited options but overall ok.
They had traditional dancers one night that were amazing. The proximity to the lake is wonderful and the room had a nice view. The maintenance staff was wonderful and the restaurant staff.

Sponde Gorge is a village just outside Lake Bled so ideally situated for exploring the region. It is only a 5 min drive on main road or 25 min walk on smaller country roads.
There is a supermarket and a bar with a playground/skate park & a lovely restaurant serving local produce.
