Wow, what an amazing hotel! We booked this by chance really, without knowing what to expect, and it was the highlight of our trip. The rooms were amazing, everything was thought of, the spa is brilliant, all the food we ate in the restaurant was exceptional, and all topped off with one of the best views in Slovenia. Perfect location to explore Logarska dolina and this wonderful part of the Alps. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are tables and long chairs outside to relax after a long and strenuous day of hiking.
Indeed the place is located just next to the (main) road to Solčava, but there are not many roads around so that’s the case for many other accommodations. However the area is quite remote and there is not much traffic. Also the room was well soundproofed.
The breakfast is optional but was excellent and made using fresh local products. I highly recommend to try it out.
The host knows very well the area and can give you good recommendations on where to go or hikes.

The accommodation is in a beautiful location, close to numerous attractions such as Logar Valley and the Panoramic Road. The house is very cozy, clean, and well-equipped. Our host, Simona, was very kind and helpful. We had a great time.

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.

We did nature hikes to Logarska Dolina and a medium mountain trip, also visited the UNESCO heritage Kamiska Bistrica and the Aboretum close to Kamink. Due to weather, we had to skip some other plans, but will love to come back another time.

The property was beautiful with flower gardens, herbal garden and vegetable gardens, plus musical instruments for additional interest/decorating. The hospitality was more than expected as Veronica and Maya were so eager to please, their interest in our comfort and happiness was sincere. Breakfast were incredible as Veronica made the juices, cheese, many meats and always offered something hot and home made. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed 5 days and were sorry to leave. Our hosts even set up our COVID test before returning to the US. If you like quiet, easy access to surrounding sites, this place is where you want to be.
