We stay at this hotel all the time on our way to/from Italy. It is very convenient for transit, everything is clear and thoughtful. Convenient access from the motorway. Ljubljana is a great city, as a solo traveler its safe and most importantly affordable. There is plenty to see, but please keep in mind the main attractions reduce services during the off season. For example if you book a tour directly through the tour company to the cave and the castle, they don't have transport between the cave and the castle and taxis cost 40 euros roundtrip to get to castle. However during the summer they have a shuttle bus that runs from the cave to castle. Food is affordable and if you stay downtown, you can walk to to tons of restaurants and shopping.

Ljubljana is my favorite city in Europe. I try to get here every year. It is still a bit of a hidden gem that most tourists haven't discovered. The pedestrian -only Old Town is magical... nestled under the castle with a beautiful river running through it. Amazing food. Friendly people. The best farmer's market with veggies, cheese, and incredible sauerkraut. Turquoise rivers.
Hike up to the castle to watch the sunset and get a refreshing grapefruit radler or catch Jazz there on Friday evening. Explore the trails and hills at the Tivoli park. Take a rental bike tour to learn the history and layout of town. Try the burger at Meat Point. Hot chocolates at Cacao. Breakfast at Rok. Asian food at Shambala. A cheese burek at the covered market.
Come and stay for at least 5 days to discover most of its magic.

Very calm city, they wake up late go to bed early, they have there own pace and that is so cool, people are just soooo nice there so helpful not just one person but everyone i met there was so polite and nice. Go there not for the monuments which they celebrate as a city, but go there for the lovely people, many small cafes just make the morning delightful. Go there if you want peace, avoid if you the the hustle bustle of the city and late night activities because the sleep early. But nonetheless amazing place

The hotel is nice and modern, feels really fresh. It was tidy and the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. Hotel is located in a walking distance from the city centre and restaurants. Breakfast was really good as well, and the lady at the breakfast area was super nice and quick to wipe down tables and seat new guests as they arrived.
Everything was perfect: a clean and big bedroom, a delicious self service breakfast (with vegan options too), a quiet place not too far from city centre, a kind staff.
Note: The mirrors inside the hotel are without any fingerprints...I wish I knew the trick! ;)
