We used the hotel just for an overnight stay, but it pleasantly surprised us. It has very good access from the highway, plenty of parking spaces, friendly staff, and good rooms. It seems that the rooms have been recently renovated; they are simply and modernly furnished, equipped with functional, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating.
The hotel is pet-friendly, which was essential for us as we were traveling with dogs. The pet fee of 10 euros per night is fully acceptable to us.
The restaurant, which is part of the hotel, is also a nice touch.
Enjoying a picturesque location at the foothills of Pohorje close to ski slopes and surrounded by nature, Hotel Arena is a 10 minute drive from the center of Maribor.

We loved the place we had a very soft bed so we could finally sleep well! This is so nice here in Europe when most of the beds we have had are very firm/ too hard so I can't sleep well.
The girl working at the hotel was very friendly, kind, and helpful.
We were upgraded to the room with a jet tub because the rooms we originally booked were full. This was awesome, the jet tub was a great addition.
