The location was perfect in a small village - less than 2 miles to the airport. It was so quiet and convenient. We had a spectacular dinner. It was a perfect finale to our 2 week trip in Europe.

The location being close to the airport was a key factor in our planning. However, I would consider staying at the Grad Strmol on future trips both on arriving as well as on departure. It was fabulous.

The town is not far from the Julian Alps and from Ljubljana.
The town is not far from the Julian Alps and from Ljubljana. Even Postojna or the seaside towns can be visited from Cerklje. There is a good skiing slope in the vicinity. I recommend this town for summer and winter holidays as well.

I stayed at the View 22 Hotel as it was close to Ljubljana Airport, which I needed to visit for work. I had only positive feelings about my stay at this hotel. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, ready to help when needed. The apartments were in great condition, clean and comfortable. I also liked that unlike many other hotels, in The View 22 apartments there are kitchens with everything you need to cook your own meals if you wish so.
Super nice family-owned pension near the airport. Comfortable and clean. No supermarkets or restaurants nearby so having a car is recommended. Also no ATM on location, so make sure to bring cash for taxis. The hotel itself accepts card payments, but that's pretty much it. The breakfast provided was quite nice too. Lots of variety in terms of food and drink. The coffee wasn't the best, but besides that everything was great.
Very nice hotel in the heart of the mountain, just next to the upper station of the gondola. The staff was very polite and helpful. Keep in mind to call them when you are at the barrier, so you don't pay entrance ticket to reach the hotel.
It was one of the cleanest hotels we've stayed at. We thank Nina for her hospitality. The room's design and view were amazing. Hopefully, we can stay longer next time.
