This quiet hotel lies by Lake Vänern, just 5 minutes’ drive from Vänersborg city centre. It has a gym and spa and offers free Wi-Fi, pool and sauna access.
One of my favorite cities in Sweden. The lock complex is super interesting and there is so much to wander around. The complex is huge! Also it is really nice to have the nature directly next to the river and thus have the historical heritage and the nature close to each other.
The hotel was ok but we didn’t know ahead of time about no parking on premises and this cost us €28/per day extra in the park house across the street.
“canal parking” came as a suggestion but we had three small children under the age of 6 so with all bags this wasn’t an option.
Also the pool really needs some cleaning, the bottom of the pool and the walls are very dirty so it was a bit depressing.
Beds were ok! The mattresses tops did slide off every night but it was manageable.

Easy late check-in. Nice room, breakfast very flexible as you could help yourself from the fridge. Friendly hosts who take good care of the B+B. Easy to reach within Trollhättan, and just a short walk from the station.
