We stayed here after our last day of hiking the Kungsleden. So it was just very nice to have everything at hand easily and just enjoy relaxing. The beds were nice, we could do cooking (note: only a stove, no oven). We didn't do anything else.
It must be the perfect spot to watch northern lights.
It must be the perfect spot to watch northern lights. We came in August to enjoy nature by the lake. There is not much else around tho. No public transportation, no restaurants or anything... no sidewalks either. So bring your own car!

If you want a simple rustic place to stay in the forest...
If you want a simple rustic place to stay in the forest overlooking the frozen Torne River, this is the place for you. We stayed in the Panorama Room two nights. Very small but cozy and wonderful view. Not recommended for more than one or two nights since it has only a dry toilet, no shower, no wood stove, no running water. A shared shower/sink is nearby. Then the Wilderness Suite with its own little sauna, shower and wood stove. Still very rustic but comfortable. Staff is friendly, dinner (if you order it the day before) very good.

We enjoyed our stay overall.
We enjoyed our stay overall. Lack of running water and shared toilet was frustrating. The Aurora Hut was not positioned North Facing, which was tremendously disappointing and frustrating. We have missed good view of Aurora.

I stayed at the Aurora Camp, at the beginning of winter, after the first snow. The river was frozen, it was very cold and clear, everything was beautiful with snow-covered pines and a huge sky view to the North across the river, fabulous for aurora-watching and stargazing.
