Small basic hotel on Main Street in Kil. We had bicycles with us but were recommended to bring them into the hotel since it was not safe to leave them on the back of the car. Thankfully there was an elevator and our room was big enough that we could have them there and still have room for us. Plentiful continental breakfast. In the corridor there was also tea, coffee and you could even make a sandwich in the evening if you were feeling hungry. Easy walk to several restaurants since the hotel restaurant was not open except for breakfast. Quiet.
This is an out of the normal tourist way. And it's well worth it. The environs are amazing. The nature.

They even called us the day we were arriving to see if we wanted dinner so as to keep the kitchen open for us
This was on our was back from Stockholm, on the way to we went to a normal hotel in Karlstad. If I ever do this route again, I will stay here both ways.
Although the outside of the hotel may look a little common, the inside is very pleasant. The beds are wonderful. You can park your car near the hotel for free. Ideal place if you are in need of a stop-over when you travel over the E45.
