The quiet surroundings! I suspect it's not always like that, though.
We spent the days over the New Year at Sporthotellet and had an absolutely amazing time. Mikael and his wife, who run the hotel, were incredibly friendly and helpful and are doing a fantastic job running the place and ensuring their guests have a faboulous stay. We did not have a car and Mikael gave us rides and picked us up several times (despite being super busy). It felt almost like we were staying with friends. Strongly recommended
Great location, right next to Himmelfjäll and just a 10 minute car ride from Idre fjäll. Nice and cozy cottage. really nice with a sauna after a whole day on the slopes.
