Very nice and clean room seemed newly built. The garden was huge and nice for the children to play and / or take a stroll. Breakfast was very homey with fresh baked goods. The staff was above and beyond in their service and to keep us welcomed.
Eksgården Krog & Rum is located in Gårdby on the eastern side of Öland island. This renovated building dates back to the 18th-century and offers hotel rooms and apartments.
The breakfast was " top of the pop". Everything is done by love -not just food what is local, but everything- house, rooms, surrounding, people. Nothing from "factory hotels". We felt like in fairy tail. Like grandmothers house were you are always expected. And dogs are expected. And Eksgarden bicycles can bring you for early morning swimming in Baltic see. There are no coincidences. Dinner- we never ever had such beautiful dinner. Absolute service and love without any play.
A tiny house in beautiful landscape with everyhing we needed. The yard with three oaks is amazing. Night silence is breathtaking. But the most if it is the host. We learned lots about Sweden and Swedish while talking with him. Thank you!
Great hotel, old and cozy. Very good breakfast and children enjoyed the spa very much. Dogs were welcomed and our he got a blanket, some food/water bowls and a snack, which was great :)
The breakfast was fairly basic by Swedish standards. Also, one has to walk to another hotel to get the breakfast, which is ok in good weather but might not be so if it is raining.
