We had a wonderful stay. The room and common areas, including the bathrooms, were very clean. Kitchen is fully equiped and well organized.
It is close to Abisko Östra train station, the supermarket and lake Torneträsk. Acces is very easy on foot to Abisko Turistation and various hiking trails. We were lucky to see the northern lights just outside the hostel.

Fantastic location (obviously!) - super friendly and really helpful staff. The dining room/restaurant was excellent, we had a fantastic meal of local produce prepared to a superb standard - breakfast is also great. Feels like a super chilled place to stay, easy to relax in, and also has a well stocked shop with outdoor items (inc freeze-dried meals, clothes, etc), ideal for people like us who were about to go hiking, to grab a few last minutes bits and pieces.
Room we stayed in was fairly small and quite basic (just twin beds, bit of storage and a shower room/toilet) - but it was warm and comfortable and exactly what we expected - it is clear from the booking details and photos what sort of room you will be getting, so no surprises. Would definitely stay there again without any doubt if returning to the area
This guest house is in the centre of Abisko and next to Abisko National Park. Depending on the season, the midnight sun and the Northern Lights can be viewed from the property and surrounding area.

Our stay at Abisko Guesthouse was absolutely unforgettable! The guesthouse is clean, cozy, and conveniently located—just a short walk from the train station and about 30 minutes from Abisko National Park. It's perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature without compromising on comfort.
We had the pleasure of joining the Sami BBQ, an authentic and engaging experience, and went aurora hunting with Alex, an amazing guide. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, Alex managed to find a stunning spot where we could witness the northern lights—truly a moment to cherish forever.
The next day, we took a tour of the Norwegian fjords, and it was just as incredible. The landscapes were breathtaking, and everything was perfectly organized.
A special mention goes to the guesthouse owner, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Lovely house as stated in the ad. 5 minute walk from and to the train stations. Super convenient to reach. Also only 5 minutes to the supermarket.
The sauna was our highlight. Easy to use and really fun to use.
Bedrooms, living room and kitchen are well equipped and comfy.

Very cozy place with wonderful views in the middle of Lappland's montains. Over the 3.5 days we staed there we managed to ski, both alpine skiing and crosscountry and a few hikes. The weather was really nice, just a little cold (down to -22 in the morning, at the end of March), but dry, so the cold was not too bad. We managed to see also intense northern lights during one evening. According to locals it happens 1-2 times a week. The restaurant has good food at a decent price, but there are also several more expensive options that allows you to experience the local cuisine, with ingredients not much common in Stockholm as reindeer meat, cloudberries, etc..
There are only a few minor cons: The ski resort is nice, well made, just a bit small and uses only skilifts. Some of the possible other activities were in my opinion a bit overpriced.
One extra advice: pubblic transport is very limited, as one should expect here, but the road is well kept, so if you want to explore around I recommend to rent a car in Kiruna..

Basic amenities like hand soap, shower gel was missing.
Basic amenities like hand soap, shower gel was missing. There was no wifi. There was confusion on towels and bedspreads. When I booked, I checked that was included but doing check in process I got to know that it is not included. Worst quality toilet paper.

I would recommend this house to everyone, it is large and clean, with all the kitchen utensils, it will definitely be your best choice in Bjorkliden. I would like to especially thank Micke and Rita for their help, when I left, the bus that replaced the train never came, I had to call them for help, Micke took us directly to the abisko train station and caught the train, thank them so much!
Everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotlessly clean. The bed and mattress are of exceptional quality so we had a perfect night's sleep. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The owners, Rita and Micke, live nearby and are very friendly and discreet. The stuga is the ideal base for exploring the area around Bjorkliden and Abisko.
The views are magnificent, the staff is friendly (and seemingly very youthful), the food is of high standard (both breakfast and dinner) and the rooms and hotel areas very cosy and in appropriate mountain style.
